ooooh....

Forgive me, Blog Father, its been 4 days since my last confe..... wait up, I'm not Christian... But I've been doing some bad things... like spending $$. This time, I've gone and got a webcam. Yay! Actually, I don't know why I got one... I feel stupid. But hey, if anybody wanna see me in a dark siloutte, feel free :D Installation was a bitch tho... I install the drivers, they don't wanna install. I plug the camera in the usb port, it won't recognise the camera. Then I figured that I need to plug the camera into a different port, not from the keyboard (cos that's sucking up power). Hey presto, it worked. And since its so nice and sunny outside, all I can see is my black head shadow, in front of a white background. Fun right :P All for $40. Plus its got microphone too... but... My MSN doesn't really like my computer net settings for mics... so will have to see what's the deal there.

Why did I go get the webcam? After getting the laptop, I feel that there isn't any more consumer devices left for me (maybe a palm/organiser, a newer mobile) but I think... I don't have a webcam. My 5mp digicam doesn't function as a webcam, so this el-cheapo has to do. Apparently it can do 30fps, which isn't too bad. 640x480 res is actually almost DVD quality. You think this is gonna make a movie? hahaha if I'm bored... maybe. :P But I had the opportunity to get the webcam cos our car rego is due... Jan 12. Green Slip (3rd Party Insurance) is the most expensive, and then Pink Slip (car mechanic check) is around $30... and then another license thingy costs more $$, but lucky my dad is a pensioner so don't have to pay that. But yeah, thats quite alot of $$ for a shitty car (more than $500). Also we finally took the car to a electrical shop, just to fix the blinking indicator. It blinks too fast cos there's a short somewhere, and it got fixed by the guy for $5. Thats good, now the light blinks normally... woo more spending... :P

After that, drove to the computer store, and also got a 20M Network cable for $23... which is 'ok' except that a 15m cable costs $15, and a 10m cable costs $12. Go figure. Also tried to get a USB Optical mouse for the laptop, and then finding out that the el-cheapo model I got WAS A PS/2. WTF... They ran out. -_-. So I guess I will give the USB to the laptop, and then use the PS/2. Aren't I so generous. :P Well, this computer is a heap of shit... I will upgrade it maybe in 2005 if I feel like it... if not, it'll suffice for another year... its already 2 years old... :P But its been upgraded with a *gasp* old Video Card, a new 512mb stick of Ram, and a *gasp gasp* 160GB HDD. Plus a plethora of LCD monitors, keyboards, speakers, DVD-Writerers, and power supplies. I really do think my computer is my gf... isn't that sad... :P At least I can use the comp for a long time... :P

2 more days till the new year. What resolution? :P

Merry Christmas

and I'm a little poorer. Or richer, depending on the way you look at it. I just bought a laptop. Why? I don't do a lot of travelling. Or needing a laptop. But I got one. I guess the opportunity was too good to miss. Plus it was a staff discounted unit... sub $1000 (including GST). Cheap!.

I had that deducted from my salary, so yeah... I will be poor this coming pay packet.

And I lent my bro my digicam, since he is going on a week's worth of holiday down country NSW to Melbourne and back, by road. With his gf and some friends. So he should have plenty of pics.

Today was the last day (official) of work for 2004. There are three more days (29, 30, 31st December) but I think me and my colleague will not go. And our supervisor will be back before Australia Day next year. So yeah... it's just me and him... plus a few slow learning casuals who cause a little more trouble than expected. But they are learning, hopefully.

Ah holidays here I come. Well, I'm not doing anything exciting actually... :P So I wish anybody reading this a Merry Christmas :D

The power...

I write one simple sentence. Back comes a essay detailing the errors of that sentence. I am too tired to argue.

Today must be the most busy day I had in my entire working life. Which isn't saying much, since I hardly worked prior to march this year. Last of all, I did some OT. 2 hours worth. Stocktake, of course. Fun? Yeah you wish. Before that, I had to fix my supervisor's unit which he bought for his friend. After a month, the panel just... died. So I had to replace it. *sigh*... its like... why are the stuff breaking down at the end of the year? I spent about 2 hours on that. Before that, I had to ship out 27 units. Now that was fun. Can you feel the sarcasm oozing out of this page? I hope so. That wasn't fun at all. It took 4 days to actually get the bad units in, examine them, get new units in, examine them, put them through the system, and ship them out. I HOPE YOU BLOODSUCKERS ARE HAPPY! DAMN YOU! I am beginning to think that agreeing to help in the service position WAS A FU*KING BAD IDEA. 40 units and we've already got 8 units which are not 100%. Yeah... great... bring it on! I'm sick of it all. I should take a holiday, but since I am helping to pay off my parents mortgage, I can't go anywhere. Thats life I guess.

Good thing about tomorrow. We finish at 2pm. Yay.

Xmas break, here I come. :P

Wednesday, December 22, 2004

Life keeps on getting harder... I got to 'fix' 27 units through tomorrow... each unit is special... *sigh*.

bah.

Shopping, anyone?

My SS gave me a gift... its a candle holder, with a small candle inside. So in order to repay his kindness, I went shopping today. I wouldn't really wanna get any presents, but its courtesy. So I settled on some choccies. They are more expensive (I hope) than his gift. And since he's getting a gift, I might as well get one for my colleague, and my supervisor. So they will get Cookies inside tins made in china. Cookies are made here in OZ. There isn't much activity today... being a sunday. But I thought it would've been more packed, since xmas is looming. But I guess maybe people are actually following advice and buying early. There was one thing out of the shopping trip. I was told to wait and sit on the bench, because we had alot of shopping already, and my mum wanted to go buy some fruit. And there was this cute chick on the bench. Wow that made my day. :P Too bad, I was only on the bench for a min or two... But not likely I would've expected anything to happen. She was playing with her mobile... probably waiting for her bf or something... haha I'm talking bs... but yeah... spent a few $$ today... :P

The weather was very hot... 30+ degrees in the morning, and then it stormed for about 30 mins. Then now, at 10:30pm, its nice and breezy. All is good :D

Merry Christmas?

Well... Christmas hasn't come yet. A few more days. But we just had our xmas party, held at Sebel Pier One in the city, near the rocks.

Saturday, 18th Dec.

Woke up at 11:30 or so... bummed around after 'breakfast'. Played some games, surfed, and the weather isn't bad. The party wasn't on till 7, but even then, I had better get out of the house before 6pm. Train journey + walk is around 1 hour...

I left the house 5:20pm... got to the station in 5 mins, but the next train was at 5:50... never fear... I had timed it well... got to circular quay at 6:40... and it took me about 15-20 mins to walk the street around the shoreline... making it perfectly 7pm. We had appetisers out on the balcony... and the sun was about 1.5 hours away from setting... From then, I think I realised that this party wasn't gonna be that much fun... Each 'section' of the company basically stuck within their own circle. Service in their own circle, sales in theirs, and management in theirs. Only circles which drifted was probably finance, and a few of them pic-snappers... One of them is Annie, she loves getting in people's faces and snapping. The other is Sam, and the other is Kitty. Kitty is an extrovert, she was the only person in the entire company to bring her own reindeer ears (like those hairbands thingys). Also another funny thing, Sam was driving along the road to the hotel, and who should be on the side of the road flagging him down? Kitty... I think something will develop there. :D Anyways, Sam actually dropped Kitty off first, (she was late, we were nearly going in) and then we went in, and then Sam turns up about 20 mins later... Parking's a bitch in the city... Seems like they are already a couple? hahaha... Anyways, the Entree was alright, really tiny portion... Duck on vermicelli (rice noodle)... the alternate was Prawns on avocado puree.

Main course was Turkey with ovened veges. Or Lamb with sauce. I had the turkey, it was very filling... My supervisor had the lamb, and that was also filling... The piece was as big as my fist... quite big.

Then there was the comedian... "The Doctor". I think I've heard 20% of his jokes before, but obviously the people in the audience didn't, or they were too drunk to notice... Good reactions, lots of funny stuff. 30 mins of material. And it involved music alot. Our table was beside a speaker... and I think if I was sitting 2 seats closer, I would've been deaf... it was that loud that one of the staff's partner had to go outside with their baby. It might've given the baby hearing damage if they stayed inside. Anyways after that, we had the prize giveaways. No surprises there, the prizes were won by upstairs people... Not one from downstairs. Damn them.

It was 5 prizes in total too. Miserly pricks.

Dessert was either pudding or jelly. I had the jelly... it wasn't that great -_-.

After all that, Karoke was the ending event. And dancing, which some people did do. But the Karoke was in the system of 'I sing, I get to choose the next person to sing.'... And guess who was chosen to sing after the second person? You guessed it, me and Sam. Hell no! Sam was already going home, to drop off our SS... and I went off with my supervisor plus two others... so, sorry mate, no singing for me tonight :P Maybe if my mood was better.

I can see that this event is pretty un-exciting. If they held it on a boat, maybe it would've been more fun, like chucking a few people into the water :P But otherwise, I think it was a 3.5 hours better off doing something I enjoy, like playing games... I got a lift with supervisor, and then got on a train home. The train took express route, but didn't go past my station. So I called my mum to pick me up... Ended up going home at around 11:50.

All I got from this experience was boredom... and sore ankles. I'm not used to wearing leather shoes...

But its free grub. So its ok.

The pic below should show you how bored I was. :P

Back to the grind...
Company Christmas party 2004... You can see I'm bored. :P Posted by Hello

Playing with the big boys...

Wee... now I have my very own 19" ... groovy :D This hasn't however made any dent in my pessimism. Company is asking me to check about 35 units to get 27 units without defects.. *sigh*. Lucky for me, another casual has joined the warehouse. Woohoo, he is fresh bait... but hey, any extra help is welcome. I get to 'boss' him around (actually I just tell him to do this and that...) and its not all bad... he helps to any extent that I think won't ruin anything... and then all of these past few days... I've been OTing like crazy. Today included... so yeah... would have another big packet next month I hope. After all, its the season to splurge. :P

Do you need assistance?

Well... I am providing it... for a short time only. I am now a temporary service engineer. Yay. Not that its anything exciting, since I still get my low wage. And then next week, when my supervisor leaves... GUESS WHAT. i'm doing two jobs at once! WTF... I'll be trying to solve the daily hassles of the service side, and then, I have to do the warehouse as well... I think I probably will die. If I die, hey, they get screwed, so its all alright. They aren't paying me enough for doing two jobs. Actually, I'm probably doing this service engineering job just to get the experience (can write some lines in the good old resume), and then when the company moves in the new year, maybe they won't need me anymore and then I can go piss off and do something, since its gonna be a year (shy of 3 months) that I've been a casual... About 8 people have been added in as permenant staff after I joined... and about 4 have left... so what about the service people... sigh... I guess I have to find another job if I wanna grow... :P

Zoomquilt

Zoomquilt... is really cool !

Overworked?

You know when you're overworked when... you wake up around 8am and then you're trying to find the alarm button, except the alarm never went off and its a saturday. Well thats how it was. Its raining today, and it rained hard yesterday. On the way home. The washer blades were going full bore yet the visibility was very limited... 20 meters. But I made it alright.

Yesterday, my order came through. Big Fire Sale, I spent a total of $150 for 4 products. One DVD-ROM ($5!!!!), one DVD-Writer (DW822A... come on, its $35! :P), one Keyboard ($8... can anybody say "Hey thats so cheap!!") and a MP3. This time its a 256mb model. For $90. Yah, I think I did alright. I spent about 20 mins de-installing and installing the drives. And burned my first OWN DVD. It took nearly 30 mins for a full 4.5 gb going at 8x. So yeah, a bit slow on my machine, but hey, I can now burn... :D

Went shopping, got rice. Rice gets more expensive... strange ain't it.

Time to enjoy myself... burning stuff and then playing games. :D

2 more days -_-

2 more days till I am on my own... with 2 weeks of 'knowledge' imprinted onto me. So I am still learning. The new service co-ordinator guy is also learning. Learning that nothing goes right in the first few days. He has problems with his computer, then problems with the monitor, and then the monitor works elsewhere, not on his comp, then it doesn't work on another place, and then the other computer doesn't wanna scan, and then that computer doesn't wanna connect to the net. The list goes on. Sounds like fun, for the people looking at him doing practically nothing. And then I was doing my own stuff. And its like... so much stuff here and there to sort out, rather crazy.

The company has an advertising agency. This agency holds a xmas party for us, before the company xmas party. It was today. I didn't RSVP, since I knew that the bus was gonna leave at 5pm, and comes back after doing the city at 11pm. I don't think I wanna be around when I'm all hot and bothered, since I've been working all day, while the people who goes on the party bus are just sitting and chatting away all day. On the phone. But anyways, we still have to RSVP for the xmas party. I'll go alone, no partner. :D heheh sounds funny, but then again, its the sad fact.

I got a package in the mail today. Its a Magic Garden, a prize I won from listening to songs on www.promosquad.com.au . Woo. I'll be taking photos of it when I have time, or when my battery doesn't die on me like it did today. (Lucky I didn't go, otherwise my battery didn't hold any power and then I'm just taking a useless camera around... but I think many people took their cameras with them, just for fun... I will try to do that at the xmas party...)

Life goes on...

Haircut Posted by Hello

Life goes on...

The position of 'Service Co-ordinator' has been filled. Not like I was aiming for that position anyways. Its now held by some guy, I hope he can last the distance. He needs to support the support, if you know what I mean. Yesterday (Sunday) I had a haircut. The pic is the result.

Today, I was helping with the outside (i.e warehouse) for most of the morning. Cleaning up the garbage from the Saturday cleanup. And then, they tell us to clean the downstairs 'power room'. Which me and colleague did. A lot of shit down there, I tell u. Half of them haven't been touched for more than one year actually. And its quite dusty too. We cleaned it up, and then a big truck came to take away stuff to be stored at the 3rd party warehouse. And then I had to load all the stuff we cleaned up onto the truck. And then guess what, we were told to go to the warehouse to unload the stuff into our container. What the hell??? We had to go, so we went. And we weren't paid extra, either. But its a huge warehouse, probably over 500 m long, and about 100 m wide or so. Its in the place where the olympics were in 2000... so thats why there's a lot of space. And its waterfront too. Well, the back of it is, anyways. After unloading, we got back, and had lunch. And then I went inside to help with the service engineer, cos there was 4 days left before he leaves, and he needs to impart all his wisdom of servicing the machines to me. The pressure is on.

What on Earth.... @_@

Interestng

I just heard that there's a union between techno rock and rap. Linkin Park and Jay Z. And the song is "Encore/Numb". Its very good, who ever knew these two 'groups' can do duets? Album is called 'Collision Course'.

Mmmm OT...

I woke up 7am, got to work at 8am, worked my ass off for 5 hours, and got home and had lunch at 1:20. All on a Saturday. Am I crazy? Sure. I'm tired. I should be sleeping but I had a lot to eat (he fen) and now mum's cooking dinner, and its very strong garlic. Or was it onion. Anyways, I posted 2 pics of yesterday's RSL trip. And no, we didn't drink, our group was pretty well behaved, even with alcohol...

Threw away some stuff today. Like literally 2 bins full of stuff. Money wasters.

Last nite was RSL, full buffet all-you-can-eat (including some seafood) for $17. And you can buy a cup and refill-all-you-want. So I had three plates and was pretty full. Not bad. Even had a 4th plate full of dessert. For a moment I thought I was gonna throw up, but lucky, didn't. (Lots of chocolate cake... :P).

I'm tired now still for some reason. And wretch is down. Oh well. Wretch is unstable.
Heh we didn't drink :P Posted by Hello

testing...?

Um... does this work? *taps the internet*. I think it works. Well, it didn't work last nite. And now I forgot what I was gonna say. Needless to say, wretch is still down, so I can't post any pics. And then, what else. It was hot yesterday.. Maybe up to 40 degrees. And then today (Thurs) its pretty good, at around 25-35 degrees. But I spent most of the day inside, cos I was still learning how to do stuff. 5 more days left, since tomorrow (Fri) I'll be in the warehouse, my colleague will go to the 3rd party warehouse to do some QI. They haven't got the 'proper' QI guy yet, so some call center guys and now a warehouse guy will go over and 'write over some label with a pen.' Means I'll be all by my lonesome. With my supervisor. Oh what fun :P Anyways, I will have dinner with other guys for the departing guy (the one we were supposed to have on Tesday last week.. postponed to now) tomorrow. And its on the way home too! Yay :P But what was fustrating for yesterday and today was that the account of the guy who is departing was deleted without our consultation. It was basically the warehouse account, and now we can't log in to the computer. Which means 0 productivity. So we had to work our way around it.... -_- Which wasted 1 days work... Oh well... get paid for doing nothing is good :P

Robbie CD sampler... yay :P Posted by Hello
Mochi... yum :D Posted by Hello
So what did I do today... oh yeah, nearly fried my brains because I used it to sponge up every bit of information that was thrown at me. Of course, I've progressed to be actually doing something i.e doing the 'repair' and 'pack' stages. But then, I have this nagging feeling that if the guy wasn't watching over me... I'll probably be helpless... so I need to remember a lot of stuff...

On other news, my Robbie CD arrived. Yay. :D

And I was eating some mochi. Yummy :D

And hopefully I won't die (with the A/C on full blast) in the 42 degree heat.

Sydney Metropolitan Forecast

Sydney Metropolitan Forecast....

ITS GONNA BE 42!!! Hopefully nobody'll die.

Hot...

It was around 36 outside today... while I heard NZ was a comfortable 8. NOT. Thats quite a difference. Of course, they have a mountain that's still got snow... and we don't have any mountains that have snow now... so yeah... a big difference in temperature, even though both are southern hemisphere islands, separated by a few hundred kms.

I woke up at 2pm... thats after going to bed at 2am. So hot it was. Hopefully today it'll be cooler today. But yeah, yesterday it was frigging hot... the washing machine was fixed, I hung the clothes after 'breakfast', parents were out to meet the 'future in-laws'. At the rate they are going... yeah... they came back about 3:30, and they already had lunch... so I had some water legs for 'lunch' at 4.... and of course, dinner at 7:30. I'm just such a machine. No wonder I'm fat. :P Anyways, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone was on tonight... watched that, and then switched between that and Total Recall... but I spent more time on TR because I just love it more than HP... Arnie's accent is still funny... :D

I am still playing NFSU2... its an addictive drug. And since its such a easy game to play, I don't even need to cheat.

Listening to the ED song for Mai-Hime, and ED song for School Rumble. Both are good... recommend them both highly :D

D'oh!!

Rant...
Damn him to hell. David, who is in a high position, has (ab)used his power and scored some 19". Who the hell wants 3 19" at once, I would like to know. He basically bypasses the purchase chain and all the hard working grunts who put the order before him gets pushed aside. So I don't have a 19"... for now. But when the opportunity comes I will get one. :P

One of the guys who does our QI decided to call it quits after a few years. Traditionally, we have a free lunch for the departing. This time it was pizza. Except that with around 30 hungry stomachs, the one who ordered the pizzas only ordered... 5. A measly 5. I can practically finish a pizza by myself. And you got to think either the budget is wrong or something got miscommunicated. 5 Pizzas between... 30 people? By the time I got there, there wasn't even a crust left. So I got to go to the local food shop... and boy was it packed. I didn't realise how many people was actually still hungry, so I only got 2 orders of fish and chicken... turns out only some people were still hungry, so yeah... lucky? But still, its a very bad company... :P

Also we were meant to have a dinner for the QI, since he's one of the service guys. Except that the organisation went downhill, so its been cancelled. So, I got home around 7:30 because we did some OT. Bloody parts. Stupid Product Specialist. Product specialist my ass. Who the hell is dyslexic enough to make a "61.k0810.001" confused with a "61.k0801.001"... It just means that there's more work for us. And more $$. Bring on the OT, baby.

Gaming...
And Need for Speed Underground 2 simply... ROCKS. (Addicted to it... -_-... Need to break my addicition... -_-).

Listen to..
"Twista - Sunshine" is a nice RnB song. "Maroon 5 - Sunday Morning" is a nice remake...

Thursday, November 25, 2004

Hmmm

Today, didn't go in to service engineer... simply, there is too much shit going on in the warehouse... lots of stuff going out and stuff... so yeah... I won't be going in tomorrow either... since our supervisor will be taking one day off. So it'll be me and colleague, plus another casual. The funny thing is, this casual actually taught my colleague and he's forgotten how to process the stuff that comes in. Its only been 8 months ago! Well I guess its easy to pick up... If only that life was simple. But its not...

CSI: New... I mean Miami, the cross-over between Miami-NY is alright I guess. I actually missed the first couple of minutes of the show because I've been slowly addicted to Need for Speed Underground 2. Needless to say... its a DAMNED GOOD driving game. Fun and runs at a nice pace on my crappy machine.

I'm officially poor now. No money on hand, and not much in my account. Sad. (Just got myself a 19"... plus a dodgy mp3 player for my bro. And some blank media. :D) Oh well... a few hours of OT should cover some of the expenses. Not that I have much of a life, so its all good...

Damned supervisor. :P

My Duality

I went inside to help the service engineer for the day... And my head is ready to burst. There are so many ways to process stuff... its just that if I was to be trained for a week and then he's off to holidays... I'll be pretty much struggling. But hey, its not my official duty... I'm still just a lowly wage slave in the warehouse... I wouldn't be getting extra pay for this... so yeah... It'll be good experience. Plus since I knew 1/2 of what he was talking about, so it shouldn't be too hard over a few days... But the bad thing is... I still get called out now and then just to help in the warehouse because of stuff in there... So I'm sorta like doing 2 jobs... or will be when the time comes for me to take the chair for a few weeks... ah... the drama :P

WTF... Who's copying who?

I just got informed on S.H.E having a new album ("Encore") out. And then I was listening through it, and then... WTF. Who's copying who? Track 3 (Don't say sorry) is the same melody as Britney's "Everytime". I wonder if u can copyright a melody... or something to that effect... but its rather weird isn't it.... :P

Matrix :D

Yahoo! Australia & NZ Movies - Yahoo! Australia & NZ... Wow... I want~~~... But its about $140 - $160 with the caddy... :((

Sunday

Mum's been slaving over the stove today... since my bro and his gf came back and had dinner. Thats the second time now... Pics available on my Wretch. On other news, watched some CSI and Cold Case (yeah they had a special today) at night, and "Without a Paddle" in the afternoon. Needless to say, its very stupid, and should be seen by people who are drunk or something. Otherwise the cringe factor will be VERY HIGH. Its like "Road Trip"... misfortunes and adventure galore. Ok for a rental movie, at best. I still wanna see National Treasure, with Nicolas Cage. Looks to be an interesting action adventure movie too. Anyways, go see my wretch to see what I had... 10 of... (wrapped...).

Wasssssssssaaaaaaaaaaaaaabbbbbbbbbbiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!!!!!!!!! :P

(waaaaaazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!) :P

(Yeah I'm nuts.)

Review: House of Flying Daggers

It is an alright movie. 'nuff Said.

Actually... I can go on about many points of the movie, but I prefer not to. Instead, I shall cap it in words. Incoherent words.

Movie starts: Um... theres no English translation! WTF??
Dancing Girls: Teehee we're pulling on a rope with wine in the middle. WTF?
Andy Lau: Hey I'll make the Blind girl play the 'Echo Game'. WTF?
Drums: WTF?
Drowning girl: okie... she didn't die?? WTF???
Escaping with girl: um... ok... badass soldiers... WTF!!
Arrows: Cool. Except bro comments that its impossible to shoot with the arrows on the wrong side of the bow...
Guys hit with Arrows: Um... they just hit our clothing, but we jumped into the air and looked like we died... WTF??
Field of Cotton: Ok... WTF... HIS ASS! ITS BEEN CHOPPED! WAHAHAHAH!!! And he's still hobbling around like he doesn't have a problem with his ass!
Plot thickens: Yeah... WTF is going on...
Escaping into GREEN BAMBOO FORREST, while wearing complete GREEN: WTF??? THESE GUYS CAN DO ORIGAMI WITH BAMBOO!!! Some really 'holy f*ck' sequences in it...
Flying Daggers: Ok thats just... WTF is that supposed to be.
Fake Flying Dagger: Yeah... we knew ALL ALONG SHE'S NOT THE ONE! Stupid script :P
Love Interest: WTF... guy takes a dagger into the shoulder and doesn't even hurt... tough guy.
Love Triangle: Other guy is released and they make out in very tall grass... WTF.
Escape: Nuh-uh... you can't escape. You have to get a dagger into ur heart. WTF? Still alive after that??
Battle: Snow doesn't come that fast. And thick. AND WTF, she's STILL ALIVE! hahaha its getting better and better. Fight scene was like street fighting... Mad and violent. And then it ends.
End: Ok... its a sad ending. But still doesn't explain WTF happens to the guy. I suppose it does. BUT WTF ANYWAYS! :P

As you can see, I don't really know WTF this arthouse film is supposed to represent, but its alright watching. Better than Hero, thats for sure.

And thats the end of the review. Thanks for reading my review. I hope u can go WTF when u watch it too :P

Hmmmm...

You know whats so good about the weekend? Knowing that it will come. Yes, TGIF. Finally the order of mice and media came. Its pretty expensive, but then again, its all financially controlled. I finally got in to work with the service engineer. Just to upgrade some firmware and then to repackage boxes. Not too bad, its a start at least. The weather's been undecided lately. First very hot, then humid, then rain, then hot, then god knows what else. Its very undecided. Lucky I didn't have to worry too much, since I was inside, where the temperature was a nice 19 or so. But I did have to go out to the warehouse to do some stuff... I'm just 'in training' for a little bit. But I'm just a lowly paid warehouse guy. Anyways, nothing else is interesting... the mouse is very smooth, not bad at all. Just erratic jumps now and then, but I think thats because my mobile is very close to it. After moving it away, its very good. I think I wanna get a bigger monitor, but then, I don't know what I'll be doing with it. Its only a monitor afterall. I think my brain ain't functioning so well. There's a competition on promosquad (www.promosquad.com.au) that I applied to, for Robbie William's "Radio" single CD. It happens at 10am right. And then guess what, I emailed them at 10:01:45, and then a couple of hours later they say I've won a CD. EXCEPT the Promosquad website doesn't list me as a winner. I got jipped. Oh well... not that I can't just go and download it :P

I'm back from the brink...
        of non-bloggingness.

I haven't blogged lately... I just get home late, and then watch tv, or just don't feel like blogging. Not that I haven't had much excitement. Far from it. For example, I went out to have dinner with 3 other guys and one gir this eveningl. The girl is from Taiwan, she's an Auditor. The guy who 'called' us out to have dinner (it was just decided this arvo actually) is one of the finance guys who had the (un)lucky task of showing her around after work. Actually, showing around is probably not the right word, since u know how Sydney is... pretty much dead after 8pm... but ok on the weekends. But she was pretty tired on her first day arriving here. And she'll leave on Sun. But anyways, we had dinner at a restraunt in Beverley Hills. Yes there's a Beverley Hills in Sydney. Its pretty busy there, the restraunt we went to opens up to 2am... quite impressive. Seafood restraunt, its not bad, but I was allergic to the lobster... *shrugs* I know I get allergic to crustaceans. But I didn't have too bad a reaction, so I didn't eat anymore just to be safe. It was pretty awakard at the dinner. 3 Guys who were speaking mostly canto, and 2 people who don't know any canto to save their asses in Hong Kong. So yeah... we were trying our best to chat to the girl... but still it was funny. Not too bad an evening. Best of all, the guy paid for us all. Well he has to shout the girl because she's the auditor. But since he asked us to be 'company', I guess we can eat a 'free' dinner.

Anyways, I had the interview (5:45pm - before the dinner). I didn't think I made too much of an impression... So I don't expect to get the job. But if I do, I know for sure I will have to work a lot harder. The job is very much the 'gray area' that most of the other service guys don't wanna touch. So its very demanding.

Yesterday, some damaged 19" LCD were available. So me and colleague snapped them up. :D

Yesterday I was meant to have the interview, but the guy (who I can call the 'supervisor's supervisor's supervisor - sss for short) ran off thinking the interview was on Wed (today). So I didn't do the interview, but OTed. And then watched CSI, and Cold Case. Both are pretty good. But tonight I came home just before CSI:Miami finished (9:30pm). So didn't see it tonight. Not to worry, its not the end of the world. CSI: Miami will have a 'run-in' with CSI: New York on Sunday I think... so I'll watch that instead.

Monday... I was pretty unsure if I'll do well for the interview. But now I guess I don't need to worry. Since they filled the QI role... and the only role left in Service was this. So I guess I am alright in that aspect.

Tomorrow. I will buy 4 mice. 3 for my bro, he wants them for his friends, and one for me. I deserve it. hahahaha :P And then I will also get some media. Ran out, but will get more... :D

Life is ok.

Well well

Well... The DVD drive actually burnt today. After I removed the 'imapi' service. So hopefully its just a software fault. On different news, bro came back today with his gf, since his gf doesn't really wanna live alone in a big house. needs companionship. so he's been there all week. Back for today. Had a big dinner. Then they went back to her place. Maybe he'll be back next week. Or something. Once every week. Till her mum/dad comes back or something. if not, I think he'll be permenantly housesitting with her. Also he tried out the new speakers my bro bought yesterday. The Juster 501. Its very lame, compared to my 3D-602s. Mine was only $10 extra at $40, and with that extra $10, you get 500W extra. Of course, its just a mini sub, pumping out 500W PMPO of goodness. Mine is 1000W PMPO. And its extra table shaking goodness. Didn't watch anything today... but did convert an video from OGM into MPEG2, ready for DVD-Authoring. Now just finding a cheap (i.e free) DVD-Authoring program... not easy. Converting the video took around 5 hours... kinda alright for the speed, because it was a 2 hour movie...

Arrrr... dreading what I would have to do for work tomorrow. Laters

PS. 3 new pics. Yes, count them. 3! New pics in Wretch. bwahahahaha. I need to go out more with my camera.

Pissed OFF...

Far out... Made 7 coasters today. My bro bought a new drive today, a 160 Gig SATA HDD for around $170. Plus a 2.1 500W speaker set for $30. Anyways after installing that and then setting it up, formatting it. We find that there is a problem with the DVD burner. It doesn't wanna burn DVDs anymore. 7 times I've tried, each dying at different stages! WTF!?!?!?! It was perfectly fine for about 10 discs! AND IT BURNT TO CDR(W) media properly between the 7 discs!! So u can see I'm not happy at all. Anyways, this morning I was meant to go take the car for a checkup, but I SLEPT IN. 11am I woke up and went... oh... hmmm... ok can't go now its a little too late. So anyways, the car is a little better with the engine tuned higher. Cos I had to drive around to pick up my dad, who incidentally was calling alot of times just to get picked up at a train station... I didn't quite know what was going on, but then again, my mum and bro was out shopping elsewhere. So as soon as they came back, I went with mum to pick him up. Needless to say he wasn't happy. My bad. But mum said that he was gonna call without $$. To me, thats not calling. Calling without money is to diall 1800-REVERSE on the fone. Anyways, thats over. The afternoon I watched Bleach, and evening I watched Iron Chef, and Genshiken. Genshiken is funny I guess... Bleach is a little better than Genshiken. But they are different genres. Ok I'm not too happy right now, having wasted over $5 in blank DVDs. -_- Nites.

Whats a guy to do...

I feel I'm in a bad position. 3 guys want me. Not in that way, of course. But I just feel that I shouldn't be in this situation. Why? Supervisor, Supervisor's Supervisor, and a service engineer all wants me to help. Supervisor naturally, since I'm in the warehouse. SS, because there's two positions open. He prefers somebody internally than externally. Then Service Engineer, (SE) because he's going on holidays. I will do 2 weeks of training with SE, and then he goes on hols for 6 weeks. Then I will be handling his job for 2 weeks. Well, maybe 50% of his job. Since I have no idea wtf. So yeah... after that, its probably move time for the company. And then I don't know what the hell... if I'll be in service support or not... geez I hate this position... Especially when Engineer goes on hols, my current supervisor will go on hols soon... and then who'll manage the warehouse? I don't know what will be the deal... shit its all going crazy. Also I'll be having an interview next week for those two open positions. If I don't get it, hey its no biggie. I just sit tight with the warehouse job till we move, and see what happens after that. But if I do get the support role... They will have to find somebody for warehouse as well as my colleague, since thats why my supervisor goes on hols... I guess I'm just repeating myself cos I have no idea what I'm doing... blah blah blah. And somebody is an expert in Nero now... I guess I don't need to teach them anything in Nero. I am so good a teacher? Nah, they are just very smart. Can burn before I said anything apparently... so I guess I can shut my mouth about it.

I'll be taking in the car today... its now 1:04. And then go with my bro to Cworld because he wants to get his HDD... then he will have plenty of space to store the crap till we get more blank media. Yay :P

Hmmm.....

Its another one of them "hmmm' days. (You know, things that make you go hmmm... CNC music factory). I got up usual time, found out mum had not woken up. Then she wakes up because I was having brekkie. I'm a little noisy in the morning. She was late already, so I gave her a ride to Regents Park station. Think she made it alright. Anyways, got to work plenty early. And seems like not many people there. But they came back from doing a show up in Brissie. Work was alright, colleague came back today, so it was pretty easy going. I had cold noodles today, so nothing concerning Kitty. And there are new (well fairly new) employees. One is called Carla, the other, I don't know her name. But they are very pretty. The other one is short, my colleague think she's cute tho... I think she has a tattoo on her arm... a big one. Very tanned. Even my supervisor calls them Leng Lui... canto for pretty girl. They came down to get some promo stuff or something. Anyways, a little bit after lunch, my SS walked by with a bunch of papers, and says that I was the most suitable. I don't know if I'm suitable, but that pile of papers look very thick... I have no idea if I'll be getting that job or not. Anyways... the service engineer also pulled me aside.... and says that he would prefer me to take over this job for the few weeks that he'll be on leave, rather than to train a casual to take over... yeah the same casual from yesterday. So it seems like everybody wants a piece of me. Well, I would love to, but if I left my current position, hell will break loose. Especially if in the timeframe that my supervisor leaves for his holiday... and then just me and colleague. And then I go to do the frigging service engineer's job. Or is that before supervisor goes? ah I don't know. All I know its gonna be work work work.

My mini-server had a problem with bittorrent remaining in memory after I stopped the file. Anything I started up had a red error message. So I simply turned it off. Came home and bro turned it on. No biggie, just 8.5 hours of downloads not done. Prefer if it all got done but. And then it starts raining and thundering and lightning. And both me and bro's computers rebooted because of a power cut (not surge). The cut was probably about .01 of a second, cos the mini-server didn't reboot. Its because it has a powerpack, and that produces remaining power to a low-consumption mobo. That was good. But since our computers with bigger wattage needs power more, they rebooted. Lucky I wasn't doing anything important. *phew*. Now its still raining cats and dogs, but no reboots. Yay.

I watched "The Incredibles" tonight. ITS DAMNED GOOD. I really LOLed a couple of times. Pixar is really good, they have quality crew. Humour is quite good, the rendering is great, action is excellent, and well, its a very enjoyable movie. The Incredibles as a family is very funny. I love the movie. I even told my bro that I am considering getting the movie when it comes out on DVD. Like actually buying it. :P But then again, I guess its better to watch it on a big screen. A definate thumbs up from me. And thats my movie review for tonight. Laters. TGIF!

Blergh

I'm just in a shitty mood. I don't know why... maybe its because I had to practically do everything today, without my colleague there. And of course, my supervisor being the supervisor that he is, can't really help out without making alot of mistakes, because all that he has been doing was paperwork, and thus doesn't know the status of the spare parts. He couldn't find some parts because the box was partitioned in half. Me and colleague, we would know to look behind that partition. But he actually went to his paperwork and said... 'hey there are 2 left... where are they' and by then I already walked into the cage, pulled out the box, and the part, and left it on the table. I was a little stressed because I had about 10 stuff to ship out, and each one takes about a minute to do. 10 minutes, easy right? Except I had to do other stuff at the same time as well. Such as look for some parts. I was getting stressed, but hey, I finished on time. Besides, the courier companies always comes late. So its all good. Now it doesn't seem like I will be going into the service as support anymore. Why? They've hired a casual called Jimmy. He looks like he's still a high school student. Except that he's actually worked here before, way before my time. So I guess he's either a working kid, or a uni student who just looks short and young. Either way, he was taking apart some units. So I guess he's done this kind of job before. Anyways, the car still has problems now and then, but I had it tuned up (I can't remember if I blogged that). But still, I don't know if its my mind playing tricks on me, but I added petrol just yesterday, it went past the 1/2 mark on the dial. Today it was already 45%. :O I didn't think the car ate that much fuel in one day... it usually takes me about 5 days worth of driving to and from work to reduce it down to about 25%-30%. So I don't know why... But its still managable. Will get the car in for service on sat I guess. If the fuel-line is busted, there will go more $$... Guess we should start considering getting a new car huh.

CSI was ok, for both nights. Tonight had an argument with a friend. I wonder if I should stop blogging for good. Or maybe getting online just to surf, and not to chat. Everytime this subject comes up they have to say something. I don't know why.

Anyways, tired. Pissed off and starting to get a headache. All is well I guess in my life...

Dull

I think its been a very unproductive day today (for me at least). Woke up, had brekkie, drove to work (still need to get the car tuned up... the revs really suck (maybe I'm losing a cylinder or something... feels no power in the acceleration...)) And basically did the usual. Except that alot came in today, it being a Monday. So, time flew by REALLY quickly. Before I knew it, it was already 12:30. And then colleague went to get lunch, supervisor went upstairs to microwave my and his lunch, and when he came down, he told me that Kitty said that it would take her 3 days to eat what I had for lunch (come on its only 3 bowls of rice + some vege/meat). Well good for her. I need energy, since I do alot of moving around in the warehouse. Unlike her, who sits and chats all day on the fone. Anyways, colleague with a broken foot was doing spare parts all day because he's trying to recover, and I forgot to do the shipping out for one of the engineers. Plus the pickup guys (both of them) were LATE. Like 30 mins late. It being a Monday must have caused some major traffic problem. But anyways, I OTed 1 hour today. Because SS asked me to. Its not like a offer that you can't refuse, but hell, I've been doing alot of OT recently... Might as well earn some extra dosh and see what I can spend. Probably not much, since its only a few hours of OT anyways. Got home, and its a dark sky... so I feel like a moody complainer.

An update on the situation with my bro... he sent me a msn message just then... and said that there's a get together arranged by his gf... blah blah blah. Dude, I knew already, whats the frigging deal. I said no, and he just can't take no for an answer. So I just said that he's a retard, and thats the end of that story. I don't wanna go meet any new girls just because my bro/bro's gf wanna play matchmaker. Thats the end of that story. (I guess I'm a strong believer in fate... if I have to be introduced to a girl... that means thats not fate. Therefore, its forced :P)

Money Spender...

I've just spent $99.00 on my mum's credit card. For a 512mb SD card made by Lexar. Hopefully its worth it, and won't get lost. If it gets lost then I'll be pissed. Why did I go for this option? Because its one card for $89, inc GST. If I got 1x 256mb and multiply it by two, it would be $110. Then add on the freight, quoted at $10. ($10?? Not bad. Last time online shopping they quoted my delivery at $15... booo). $120 compared to $99. I think it should be good. I can apparently take 222 pics at 5mp quality with my camera if there is a 512mb SD inserted. If I had a 256mb, it would only take 105 pics. thats 210 if I went the dual 256 option. Where did the 12 pics go?? :O Weird... It also means that now I got a 512mb DDR ram on my machine, and soon I'll have 512mb SD flash memory in my camera... can't wait :P No more taking 20 pics and then 'out of memory' :P Hell I get more with a conventional camera (24 exp or 36 exp) :P

On other news, I've watched the 13th ep of Elfen Lied (End). Its a mysterious ending. Did Lucy die? And the visitor at the end, were they out to claim the grandfather clock? I have to wonder if they'll make a OAV or something... Of course, Nana is alive, Evil Girl + Director gets blown up, and everybody else involved dies of 'vector' manipulation. Kouta will marry the girl, and all is well. Then what... What was the point of that evil guy taking off his wig and saying that he's a diclonious (sp)? Too much storyplot left hanging.

My bro went out in the morning and came back later on. Gave me a empty box. WTF @_@. He goes 'you can now make your own Vulcan 300'. Ha ha. Yeah, its a empty box of 'Pocky' If you don't know the reference, you need to go watch Konjiki no Gash! more :P I guess I should take a pic with my Bender doll. :P

I found somebody got married last month and they didn't tell me about it. This was after they asked me to check their SOP. What is a sop? Son of Peach? I had no idea until they told me it was 'Statement of Purpose'. They were doing a PhD in the states and then asked me to check it because the Prof didn't think it was good enough. Then I discovered that they were married. Wow. Not that I talk to that person much, but hey, its like... huh u got married? And didn't tell me? Wah what kind of friend are u... and yet u ask me to check ur stuff... damn I'm being used... :P Guess I should go find a gal soon and get married... then people will either be A) shocked or B) indifferent. Probably B, since nobody really gives two hoots about me :P But then thats not fun, to get 'settled' just to shock people... is it? :P Oh well.

Pics will get posted here soon :P

tug-o-war

I'm not being fought over, but it does feel that there are two sides trying to pull me. One is my supervisor... the thing is, he doesn't want me to get into the service side. And with my colleague out of action with a busted foot, I am the only one there to do all the warehouse tasks with him. Then there is the problem of a service role which was vacant from today. The guy who got that full time position suddenly found a better job with better pay and resigned, in just two weeks. Needless to say the guy who hired him and his supervisor isn't too happy. So this is where I come in, supposedly. Except I have no idea if I'll be in that service role or not. And then there's the problem of one of the service engineer. He will take a holiday for 4-6 weeks. There is no time to find a replacement, so I might be the suitable candidate. Except my supervisor isn't too keen on that happening either. Sooner or later it will happen, and when it does, I can see my supervisor's a bit sour about it... I got that kind of feeling today when its just me and him doing stuff... seriously either that, or he's a bit slow to react to stuff. Like I already done something, and he goes and checks it and go... hang on, you did this already? huh why? and I'm like... yeah I did it, but you didn't know, so you had to go and re-do it again... waste time. Lucky there wasn't too many things like that happening. But I know how to manage my time, he doesn't. He thinks that you need a lot of time to ship stuff out. But when I did it with my colleague, we could do about 10 items in 15 mins. And I had about 2 hours to ship stuff out. With about 8 items. (total items today = 13... -_-). The other items came about 20 mins to the cut off time, so I did have to rush them, but hey, its not like I'm not unfamiliar with the stuff. Our supervisor haven't been putting spare parts in the cage for many months now (yeah thats why he's the supervisor... doesn't do the grunt work) and when he tries to help, he couldn't find the part. And I go in and I find it just like that.... So its better not to have him help, but its no use, he's the supervisor of the warehouse, and if he wants to help (and slow things down) then its his problem... anyways I just feel like bitching about it cos thats the state of mind I'm in right now... You can see that my supervisor doesn't want me to change, but he isn't able to prevent me... because its his supervisor that wants to put me into service... So yeah, he talks with his super to see if I can still be in the warehouse till next year... but they need to fill the position inside... so what the hell am I to do. I think leaving is a good idea... then they are all screwed. :P But I do wanna have a permenant job without the headache of choosing which side... or being used in a game of tug-o-war.
Now thats one expensive HDD!! Posted by Hello

I'm overworked...

Colleague didn't come today (expected). Colleague won't come tomorrow (unexpected). So, its just me and my supervisor, trying to make the warehouse work. It works. But its a lot of effort, especially when I'm doing all the stuff and he just... doing paperwork. Plus the talk of me going into service to work in one of the positions while that guy takes a holiday... his first in a few years. Then after that, maybe I'll be in another position. Who knows. Its a tried and true formula for previous people. They work, and then, they get sick of the work, and then they quit. I think I'm not up to the 'sick' bit yet... but I might get to that bit when my colleague doesn't come in for a long period of time... *sighs* its tough in this role. Also, today, theres a bird in the warehouse again. What makes them wanna come in, fly around in circles in the overhead beams for a few hours, and leave (when we let the roller gates up)? I don't know... nothing good to eat in here, except for some moths maybe... *shrugs*. I'm babbling. Time to sleepy-byes.

Yesterday

Yesterday, it was the day the nation stopped still. Well, most of the nation. The Melbourne Cup, this year sponsored by Emirates (planes). It was a weird day already... it didn't have to get any weirder. But it did. My colleague broke his ankle (yes it was confirmed today). It was his 'Lateral Malleolus'. Apparently its easy to break (think skiing). Its all red from internal burst blood vessels. But that was today. Yesterday, he went to go buy tickets at the TAB (www.nswtab.com.au) and when he got out of the car, he walked into a pothole. In the carpark. And he snapped his ankle. My supervisor saw him go down and didn't get back up... Apparently there was this brutal crunch sound... And of course, he was in pain. They bought the tickets to the races (5, 1, 3). And my supervisor drove back in his car, cos his ankle was really f*cked up. How bad? Where his ankle was, was the size of a big egg. It was that swollen. Pity I didn't have my camera handy. I don't think he took a pic either. But anyways, that was during lunch. So they found a bottle of ice in the upstairs fridge... and used that to shrink the swelling. Thankfully it did shrink, but he couldn't feel the ice at all on the lump... The big race was on... practically everybody (bar my colleague, one service engineer, and supervisor's supervisor, plus call center staff) was in the boardroom. 20+ people in there watching the race. It was about 3 minutes. And then the result was 5, 1, 12. If only my colleague and supervisor picked that, they would've got back $3,000+ from a $1 bet. If you bet $1 on the first four horses, going 5, 1, 12, 3 (yeah if 3 was the third place instead of the 4th place, the trifecta would've been less than $3,000), then you'd get back $39,4xx. Thats literally a car. The bookies lost big time yesterday, because of the 12th horse coming third. Why? They had him in 'place' (meaning if the horse gets either first, second or third place) at $22 per $1. Thats very distant odds. So it bumped up the trifecta and the quad results... Oh well... Me and the supervisor stayed in the boardroom for about 20 minutes, enjoying the free nibblies and alco... well, I didn't drink, but I did take 2 bottles home and took a pic of them with the other bottle still in the fridge (on my wretch :P). Then we were practically running on 2 guys because colleague can't really function at 100%. Needless to say we didn't get much done. On the way home, it was hot. I think either a elderly woman was suffering heatstroke or something, but I was turning a corner, and this lady was on the ground lying face up, with liquid on the ground near her head... and guys were standing surrounding her. And I was turning right, and the ambulance was nearby so they came quickly. About 500 meters later, there was the police and fire engines blocking a road, because of a house fire... So it was a really bizzare day indeed... When I got home I wasn't hungry, but I was playing with my camera. This time there was a Ladybug in the house, on the newspapers. So I decided to try playing with my camera again... Trying alot of shots, all failing because I don't know how to get the macro mode properly (I tried to zoom in and set the macro, but thats requiring 9 cm!! Thats still far away...) But I got some good sharp pics in the end ^_^v :P Then I went out and took some pics of the sky... think it was gonna rain... But it did rain only for a few minutes at around 10pm... so yeah... it was disappointing.

Today, this morning.

Went to work, colleague went to doctors, and supervisor had half a day leave after 12. We didn't expect my colleague to come back since he said he had a broken ankle and all... but he was crazy enough to come back after 2pm and help me ship out stuff. Thankfully he was able to help just a bit, because without him, I'd been stuffed... A lot of orders came in, and I was flat out trying to pack them up... but with him here, I could do all the packing and he can ship them out... So me and him did all the jobs and we left at 5:45... not bad considering its just us two... We were talking to SS and found out he was actually very good in basketball pre-uni. And he had alot of 'tao hua'... Since he was good in the basketball, and basketball is pretty well played in highschool in Taiwan, the girls know him but he doesn't know the girls... and he was saying that some girl (colleague at work) planned to lure him in a trip to Mt. Ali... but he didn't know she was trying, so he said ok, and didn't think too much of it... because his old home was near Mt. Ali... I just laughed and everybody else in the room did (me, colleague, SS, and another support guy). He obviously was oblivious to girls at that time (even his wife (before they were married) tried the 'oh I was supposed to go watch a movie with a friend, but they've cancelled, so now I got a ticket free... wanna come with me' trick... and he fell for it... ROFL!! He said 'well since its free!!' ahaha... funny. Anyways its a good day today... not too hot and not cold... just nice :)). And soon I'll be going to sleep cos I'm tired as all buggery... :P

Fooking tired...

I OTed again today... 1.5 hours... the 1.5 hours didn't feel long... strange. But when I came home... had some dinner, and just felt really tired.. like really tired... I think if I didn't muster up any energy I'd crash out and not wake up till tomorrow. But after a shower I'm feeling a little better... still, I'll sleep good tonight. Anyways, why did I feel tired? Because of the damed stocktake... From 9am - 7pm, with one hour break in between, all I did with my collegue was stocktake. We didn't leave the 1 meter x 12 meter enclosure more than 5 times in that day... just for a little break... otherwise its very bad, cos we were standing and crouching and straining our eyes just to find bloody parts on the list... in the end we did what we could... but I still think we did about 99% of stuff... why? because some items don't bloody match! Its very weird... some parts are there, untouched for more than a few years, but they just don't have the same number as the list... (how do we know they are untouched? Because the dust is quite THICK and it makes both of us sneeze/cough uncontrollably everytime we open one of them boxes... But its all good... Thats out of the way... for another year at least... :P Anyways coming home, it was raining, but the sky was still light grey... interesting... it was raining for most of the afternoon at work, but not at home... Dinner was ok... My bro didn't eat dinner either, strange. The other bro came home later and then asked if I wanna go to a crepe shop in the city because its new... I'm like... WTF? I don't go out to eat crepes... figures... they are trying to set me up with my bro's gf's friend's sis... the thing is, I don't know anything about her... all I know she's younger than me... well... you're either older or younger than somebody... but apparently she doesn't even get online... or something... *shrugs* I don't know... even my mum thinks I should meet her or something... I have no idea... but yeah... hows that for an ulterior motive... I'm not desperate... if I'm desperate I'll probably be out at nightclubs or something... but nah... I don't need to be in a relationship right now :D anyways, I'm hitting the sack... still tired... :P

Time-shifters...

Now Australia has officially gone into daylight savings... I've already lost one hour's sleep :P now its +3 hours to Taiwan's time... its a bigger gap... also +1 to Bris, since Bris doesn't like to be saving their daylight.... :P life will get harder, thats for sure :P

Busy...

I guess I dropped off the face of the earth with my non-blogging. Well never fear... I'm back :P
Today is Saturday... I woke up at 8am, got to work at 9am, did 3.5 hours of counting... finished the OT at 12:30. Came home, had instant noodles for lunch, and went out to www.cworld.com.au to see if I can buy a 256mb Kingston SD card for my camera for $55. Unfortunately, sold out. So, I bought a speaker set from Juster (sorry not Justy). www.juster.com.au is the website to go if you wanna see... I got the 3D-602s model for $40. Great sound, great bass.. :D I can compete with my next door neighbour if they decide to play loud music at night :P But I won't... ;P Pics will be up shortly at my wretch site shortly.

Friday... we practically stopped doing the paperwork after 4pm, just to prepare for the stocktakes... ended up doing stocktake till 8pm... crazy right... thats 3 hours OT :D. So yeah, work was alright, stocktaking isn't.

Thursday... normal day... preparations for stocktake hasn't commenced, its everything as normal.

So... I'm tired... but Sunday is no OT... so its all good. But come Monday and... we'll be in the caged section of the warehouse counting tiny boxes.... wouldn't that be fun.... NOT!

I will survive.

Big Trouble in little warehouse

Its the end of the year... well... not really, but its stocktake time. But there's no stocktake sale. So yeah... we're gonna do a stocktake of all the shit thats in the warehouse... GAWD HELP US ALL!!! (The spare part inventory alone is over 500 parts big... -_- We might have to overtime on sat, its extra pay... :D) What can I say? We don't do any shipping out except for urgent stuff, so its shut-down time... and then we count and count till we counted it all... So yeah... if I'm too tired to come online... you'll know why :P Also... I've uploaded only 5 new pics... is that slack or what... :P But at least I'm still trying to find new things to take pics of :P

Yawn

woken up early today... in fact woke up just before the doorbell rang. at 7:50am. Why? Cos they were gonna build a new fence between us and the neighbours... they got working while I was eating breakkie... with the circular saw. Lucky I don't get headaches... but anyways, I had to back the car out because they were doing it all in one day... 40 meters of it. So I backed it out, had brekkie, and left at 8:35. Of course, I got to work on time... strange. Anyways, after a eventless day at work, came home and the fence was finished... seems like it was done in less than 7 hours time... pretty good I guess. But of course, its not good on my budget... man so many things are coming out from my pocket... I'm always poor... poor me :P. Anyways, I'll post the pics up to my wretch site later... gonna hit the sack.

He was a sk8r boy... I mean dog..

Tyson skating is... simply put, amazing... :P

Television set cries for help

October 23, 2004

Television hardly ever gets better than this. An Oregon man discovered that his year-old Toshiba flat-screen TV was emitting an international distress signal picked up by a satellite, leading a search and rescue operation to his apartment in Corvallis, Oregon, 110 kilometres south of Portland.
The signal from Chris van Rossmann's TV was routed by satellite to the Air Force Rescue Centre at Langley Air Base in Virginia. On October 2, the 20-year-old college student was visited by a contingent of local police, civil air patrol and search and rescue personnel.
"They'd never seen a signal come that strong from a home appliance," Mr Van Rossmann said. "They were quite surprised. I think we all were."
He was told to keep his TV off to avoid paying a $US10,000 ($14,000) fine for "willingly broadcasting a false distress signal." Toshiba quickly contacted Mr Van Rossmann and offered to provide him with a replacement set for free.

______________

Hahaha is this funny or what? Secretly they are building in distress signals... ready to make people go 'holy crap! I ain't watching illegal pr0n!' But how does a 20 yr old college student afford a flat screen tv??? @_@ rich bastard.

Near Heart attack...

I went driving just then... to pick up my bro about 15 km away... and on the way I nearly had a heart attack, and I'm pretty sure my mum almost had one too. Basically I was going at 60 km/h down a long stretch of road... and this brown hare (or rabbit) raced across the road... both the people in the front seat just gave a tiny gasp... The rabbit (it didn't look like a cat due to the long ears) was probably about 50 cm on the other side of the road by the time we drove by... so it was a close call... And my bro in the back seat said 'just run over it'... I don't think so... if I did... the car probably would've skidded and we'll get bad karma. Anyways... enough heart pounding excitement for tonight. I've been uploading some pics taken today... not many, but with a 64 mb SD card its easy to fill it up with crap shots... http://www.wretch.cc/album/Kenman2k is the website... laugh all you want... :P I'll just take less shots of me thats all :P Also, my bro went to play a home lan session today (since 9am he was packing up his comp etc) and hasn't come back... past midnight... Think he's out having fun still... and trying out a loan LCD... if he likes it, there's a defective one out there from my supervisor that might be for sale... so yeah... see how it goes... if not, then will get another model... wonder what he will copy from his friends??

Weather

Its been raining hard for some hours, and then not hard at all... so I didn't venture out of the house at all today... watched bro play FarCry and some Warhammer40k games... he liked the LCD monitor on loan... so I guess have to see if that unit will be available... :P Didn't take any pics... so nothing new there either... a very boring day indeed. But I did watch "The Twins Effect II" - Starring Jaycee Chan, Jackie's son... and the two main girls in it were pretty cute... :P but apart from that... its your standard HK movie... some action, some comedy, some romance... I liked the bird being slammed into the wall and then the posessed girl being slammed into the wall bit... funny as all hell >:D

Yay~~

Lets see what I got today... 1 DVD Burner, 1 Spindle of 25 8x DVD+R, and 1 Wireless mouse. Now, it took all of 10 minutes to %^$*& open the metallic grill of the front of my bro's case... and then 2 mins to set up all the cables, and 2 mins to boot up and install nero... 6 mins to burn all of Madlax (4.28 GB), and to find out that I've been burning at 16x onto 8x media. Bad IDEA. It failed, so I made the first DVD+R I ever burnt a coaster. Of course, never to sit and contemplate my failure, I immediately pop another DVD+R in and then burnt it at the recommended speed. 8x. It took around 8:13. Thats more like it. I even tried it on my dodgy DVD reader. Apparently the 16x speed DVD+R media can burn full disk under 6 mins... I can see how that can work. Except its expensive now... And don't get me started on Dual Layer Media... 2x on DL... thats pretty interesting...
The wireless mouse I installed on the TV machine... it works pretty well, except that I am scared that it'll chew through the batteries like nothing... So have to take the batteries out when not using it. Safer that way, right?

Ok its past midnight and I'm still blogging. Need to get some sleep.

Energised

I'm still a little wide awake past midnight... Its weird, but now its pissing down heavily... but during the work period it was just a light rain (mao mao yuu). Needless to say, it got pretty wet all day till around 6:30 - thats when we got off work... OT for 1 hour -_-. Stupid parts. Always too many. Tomorrow will be alot too. Anyways, I'm excited because I've been playing with my new TOY. Its still sitting on my desk charging. A digicam... first time anybody in our family has owned one. About time too? 5 Megapixels, good res, and plenty of adjustable functions (time, aperature, shutter speed, focus... what more can I want? Oh yeah a bigger SD card... its only got 64 MB included (no internal)... might have to get a 256 since 512 are rather expensive.) Its also pretty small and rather handy. And the flash on this baby... it scared the hell out of my mum when I used it... she was shaking when it went off... hehehe funny :P But it's really bright, the flash. In a brightly lit room too. Anyways, its still raining hard, I don't know when I'll be able to sleep, but this morning I woke up with a sore neck -_-. And didn't wanna get out of bed, since its cold. But nevertheless, life goes on, $$ needs to be earned, and photos need to be taken. Maybe I'll open an account on Wretch... but what should I take... plenty of flowers? maybe... :)

It had to happen...

Elfen Lied Fighting game is here... Its 'inofficial' (don't you love EngRish?) And it looks cute... pity u don't get to chop arms and legs off like the anime :P

Buy! Buy! Buy!!...

I think its the first time I've actually went 'what the heck... lets just buy it'. Of course, its buying with my collegues, so guess what I bought? 1 x DVD burner (16 speed +/- Dual Layer). 1 x 25 spindle of 8x DVD+R media, and.... a wireless mouse. The burner is for the issue of running out of space (so it'll be installed on bro's computer to stop his yapping). The mouse is for my mum, so she won't be sitting on the ground in front of the TV playing Zuma late at night... she can actually sit at the table instead! :P And, if luck permits, I'll buy the digicam I want at a slightly more expensive rate. But if I do, it should be worth it... afterall, its a 5 mp (real, not interpolated) camera, and at the price I'm hoping to get it, its actually cheap. :P So hopefully I can get that. Lets hope nobody else has that kind of plan... :(. On a different note, today was actually pretty good weatherwise. It was raining a little in the morning, but by the arvo it was fine. By closing time it was normal autumn temperature. A little cold, but bearable. Why? I was working my ass off in the warehouse and felt hot... so walking in the dusk it was a little cool but a nice balance to the heat. I added some petrol... $1.025 a litre! so it sux. Then as I pulled into the house driveway, mum was waving to say don't stop the engine... So I didn't. We drove to check her bank balance, and came home. Everything was in order, I withdrew some $$ (:~~~() and thus I'm set if my stuff arrives... then clickety click click - burn baby burn! :P

I'm... scared...

I was burning a CD... and after it hit 100% and doing the 'lead-in and lead out' phase, the drive starts making a very horrible grinding noise... I'm sure that it died. My fears were confirmed when Nero came up with 'fixation error'. I just made a coaster. On my table I have about 200 CDs, 50 which are unburnt, and 5 coasters. Its probably gonna increase a bit more now -_-. To test if the drive's really dead, I burnt another CD. This time it didn't make a horrible noise, but it did make unusual noise (probably fixation checking) pre-burning. And thus I have to be wary of what I burn... in case it dies and I didn't realise it.

Anyways, it's been pissing down today... so everybody is dreading the rain, going home in the wet, blah blah... Its cold! And a lot of stuff to do at work... One of the engineers came and asked me what my background was... what, is he gonna do a police check on me? Turns out he might be going on hols for about 6-8 weeks, and needs somebody to do his work in the meantime... I told him I did med eng, and he considers it. I don't know if I'll be doing his work, its unlikely, but hey, if the supervisor's supervisor gives the ok, I might have a change of work for 6 weeks or so? Something in the wind.

Eat your words

Tonight's CSI was pretty funny... this guy was made to eat his words because he made up a word in a game, like scrabble. But its called 'logos'? I didn't quite know the game, but there's no board, and the tiles are circular. Anyways, the 'dead' guy made the word 'exvin', saying its a person who used to drink. So the 'killer' adds the 's' to the end, the dead guy goes 'challenge' and the killer was pissed off, so killed him by stuffing the letters in him. Funny thing is, 'exvins' makes 'vixens'... :P I noticed that before one of the CSI people did. Anyways, it was a pretty good episode. Cold Case was interesting too... its a 1989 case, and I knew the woman was evil... but then again, most of the cases are fairly predictable. But still its good to watch. Kathryn Morris's (She was in Paycheck and Minority Report) eyes really shine in certain scenes... like she's about to cry but not... I think I heard before that if your eyes shine it means you're smart... hmmm or if u're gonna cry alot? I dunno :P

Bleh @_@

It was nice yesterday, so why did it start to rain today? And its bloody cold too! I couldn't understand it... I actually had to wear my black 'jacket' and long pants today... it was that cold. And then I had my haircut, while I was talking to my friend online... sorry my friend, my mum couldn't wait to cut my hair :P And the sky was getting dark, and cold wind blowing... wasn't nice, but I felt that I need to get some hair off my head because its getting hotter... a preventitive measure for summer :D I spent the rest of the day watching anime... Samurai Champloo 13-16 (one more till it ends), Elfen Lied (still being mad -_-... I don't know why I am feeling sick, but yet I still watch... -_-). And the new anime, "Yakitate! Japan" I've read most of the manga thats be scanlated (by snoopycool) and so the anime is following it (for the first episode). Same as School Rumble (scanlated by Manga Inc.) it follows the manga to the last detail... But some anime don't follow properly, like Midori... oh well, who am I to complain... I have too much anime to watch as it is :P

Life, Usual As

Its been cool today... the weather I mean. Woke up late, its a great feeling. Bro needs to get some price for shades for his archery club (like a portable marquee). So went to "The Warehouse" and "Bunnings" to see whats on offer. Also went to get some Halogen lighbulbs. 10W, 12V - $4.95 x 2. Also he wants a multi-tool. You know, them collapsable tools that's like a swiss army knife except it opens into pliers. Thats only $6. So, spent $15.90. He didn't have to buy the shades yet, the club will decide I guess. Also, coming home from work, saw the petrol price gone up to $1.09-$1.12/litre. Yikes! Closer to our place, its around $1.02. Thats still expensive since thursday, which was $0.995. -_- Soon we'll be paying $1.50 a litre and nobody'll bat an eyelid. Later one I burnt all 26 Eps of Aishiteruze Baby. I watched the first 4 and thought... um... what the hell is this -_-... needless to say I got much better things to watch. School Rumble Ep 02 is good, Bleach Ep02 is excellent, and haven't done anything else. Oh yeah also bought a pack of $2 RCA-RCA cable (the cable going from DVD/TV into the speaker/subwoofer). Except when the checkout chick scanned it, it was $1. But I don't need a extra pack. So, saved $1! :P Bargain. :P Tonight's Iron Chef was the Lamb battle. Except bro's seen it before, weird, how come I haven't. Anyways, Iron Chef French won over his ex-apprentice. But Lamb is rather hard to cook... but delicious :D But something's wrong with my hearing... since the afternoon my left ear can hear, but also the sound sounds 'dull'... the right ear can hear properly... so I have no idea what happened.

Thursday, October 14, 2004

cool

Its cool again... lucky. And I didn't OT today... but we have so many things to do tomorrow... I'm amazed that I don't get a headache! Theres like 5 boxes of boards... each box would have about 30 boards... and theres around 20 different types of boards. -_- And we gotta put those boards into their own little box... arggg too much!! will probably take a few hours. But its a friday, so yeah... good to know the weekend is coming up :D

38 degrees

Its offically the hottest day in Oct in Australia on record, being 38 degrees. And its not yet summer. Today in the warehouse, the most said phrase was 'its hot in here isn't it'. Well duh. What do you expect? We don't actually have an air-con unit in the warehouse, but the warehouse office has a A/C unit which goes to a minimum of... 18 degrees. Since we don't actually have 4 walls, the cold air actually escapes. The wall is actually clear plastic strips. Its to effect easier access, since there isn't a single 'door', but its all of the length of 4 meters. But that means its very hard to maintain the 18 degrees. Thats the temporary relief we get when we get back to our seats after working the warehouse. Better than nothing, right? The service people actually have an industrial strenth AC unit... its around 17 degrees in there! And their space is about 8 times as big as our office in the warehouse... -_- open plan as well. So yeah... thats cool. And the office upstairs... needless to say they have a better air-con system. Ducted. Went up there for a few mins to deliver some boxes... and can feel the difference - maybe 1-2 degrees cooler than the service area. Also spent a lot of time replenishing body fluid... need to, in this heat. Also, had a lot of items to put into the spare parts. And there's already stuff in there... had to cram it all in... over 50 items, each different -_-. Fun, right. You can feel my sarcasm flow off the screen :P. But thats just me. And my collegue of course... having to ship out many items. So, naturally, we OT today as well. Thats now 3 days in a row we've OTed... Might be a trend? Who knows... also I need to get more media, but the cheaper ones got bought today by the very fast service guy... he sure has spare cash lying about, since some of the items he buys aren' cheap. And we can see what he uses to pay... and its not a card. Oh well, maybe I can buy 50 off him since you don't really need 200, but then again, I probably would... 200 x .7 = 140 gigs... currently around 65 gigs of anime on bro's comp... need to burn, or get another HDD... -_- ahhh its another dilemma... :P

MSN fighting Messenger difficulties, virus

MSN fighting Messenger difficulties, virus... So thats why I couldn't msn for a day... :P Because of a 'Funner' (more Fun?) virus...
Its hot. I'm pissed. Supervisor left early. Did OT. Watched CSI and Cold Case. Going to bed.

Monday, October 11, 2004

Hmm....

I was working on the forklift today when the supervisor's supervisor came and talked to me, asking what I grad from. I told him, and he goes that I might be more suited to something else, and to give him my resume when I have time... I don't know, I'm pretty happy with the things they are right now... But yeah, I have to wonder how much pressure did my dad's friend (the wedding) put on the s.s. I should tell s.s to chill out, not to worry about getting me a position inside or 'higher up' since well, that'll put more pressure I think. Anyways, sad news, Christopher Reeve, aka Superman, has died, aged 52. Born in 1952. Coincidence? No idea. But its sad. On other movie news, theres this movie called 'Team America'. And its a puppet movie (Think 'Thunderbirds'). Except its made by the guys from South Park. So yeah, can't wait to see that one... :P Team America Website.

I Love Sundays

Sleeping in is great :D Especially on a Sunday. Woke up 11am, bummed around, watched tv, then just watched 4 episodes of Elfen Lied... I'm telling you guys, don't watch it. Its like totally fooked up. Its one of them anime you wish that... you can watch and enjoy, but unfortunately you just can't... not with this kind of anime. Also watched the first episode of "Bleach". Its about a guy who can see ghosts, and becomes a Death God. How the hell do you get 'Bleach' from something like that? @_@ Apparently there's a character called 'Splash' in it too... -__- Anyways, tonight saw 'Collateral Damage' not to be confused with 'Collateral'. Arnie is a Firefighter, and he saw his wife and kid get blown up. So he goes and blows up the bad guy. Overall its not bad, but not enough action! *pounds fist into hand* I demand more action from the governor of Cali. :P

What a day!!!

Its one of them days where I feel I have done simply too much, and come away without anything. Few things came out of it as good, others, mundane.

8:00am Alarm rings. I didn't immediately wake up, but everybody else was up. So got up a little later.
8:45am Officially Up... personal grooming, had brekkie, and looked presentable.
9:30am Drove with parents to a church, not to pray, but to vote. Its election day, hope Labor wins (but they wouldn't)
10:00am Started the 1 hour drive to the wedding ceremony in Lindfield
11:10am Found the place. Called 'Swain Gardens', it was originally a block of land (owned by somebody called Swain) and he donated it to the government so it became public property. The place is pretty big, and I'd say its around 2-4 acres. Very 'sunken', its like about 10-15 meters below the main road, so getting to the place (up and down) was exercise itself. Very nice, got a grassy area for ceremonies, and they set up a marquee there for the occasion.
11:30am Guests start to arrive in the dozens...
12:00 Ceremony starts... They got a public celebrant to invest her power into making them a couple. Also, they hired a 4 piece orchestra (Violin, Flute, Bass and something else) to play the lovely music.
12:25pm Ceremony finishes, they are officially Husband and Wife. Congratulations! Thus we go to the marquee to get some grub.
12:30pm The cake cutting is a bit delayed due to missing knife.
12:35pm The knife is found! The couple cuts the cake.
12:40pm Photos taken at many pics per second. Its amazing how many people want to pose with the bride and groom. I didn't have any connection with them, apart from having the same english name as the groom. :P (Same first english and same chinese surname. Just write surname little differently in English I think.)
1:00pm Crowd mingling at around 100+ people. Good atmosphere, lots of chatting, mostly in Taiwanese and Mandarin, and English of course. Multi-national people here, some from Taiwan, Perth, Singapore, and of course local Syd people. And the 4 piece orchestra played. Foods include: Mini-baguettes, the staple Sandwiches, Sushi (no wasabi), Chicken Drumsticks, Mini-Quiches, fruit platter, and the required drinks - Champagne, Red and White wines, Orange, Apple juices, and Lemonade/Coke. Not very filling, but hey, its just light snacks... They are obviously saving their stomach space for tonight... I don't get to go... *sob sob*.
1:30pm We leave, not before saying goodbye to about 10 people (going back several times too). My supervisor's supervisor also turned up late, but hey, I get to see him every working day... :P
2:30pm Got home. Not before being abused by both parents because I took a path which wasn't planned by my mum who had the map. I had driven this place before (The Funeral episode... hmm... 1 wedding and 1 funeral... need 3 more weddings to make a movie I guess?) and my parents were abusing me ("wtf why u going here? I didn't check the map!!" "I know where I'm going" "the hell u do!!" "I've been here before" "So what, we got the map". Then I got to where they were familiar and they shut up... shut up pretty much the whole way after that incident. I think that they just can't trust my judgement enough, if they can't see that the way I took was actually a short cut (its like I took a longer triangle's side. They would rather take the simple way, (two short paths) but it's longer. I took a shorter but windy road.)... In the end they just don't talk, its much better for me I guess... After getting home, found out the bro left at 2:10, 20 mins earlier. He left for a fundraiser.
3:00pm Mum cooked some noodles, egg, lamb pieces, a sausage and chopped up some veges. Thats because after the road 'rage' incident they asked if I wanna buy some fast food like KFC or maccas, but I declined... I just didn't wanna drive somewhere further than that, if they were gonna bitch about the 'distance' that I took was 'longer'. So I get to cook the veges and then mix in the noodles and cooked meat for dinner.
4:30pm Parents leave for dinner. The dinner's in the city, so they have to catch a train.
6:40pm I start to cook dinner, while watching Monk. Somebody has a problem with their downloads. After getting fustrated with them, it was eventually decided that the problem was a corrupted download. With bittorrent, I find that hard to believe. If that person had a corrupted download, all the other people downloading that file WILL ALSO have a corrupted download. -_-. I guess something must've gone wrong there.
7:00pm Dinner. Eaten while still watching Monk. Double episode I guess.
8:30pm Iron Chef! This time its Bamboo Shoots. Yummo! I love pickled bamboo shoots, especially the spicy ones. Iron Chef Kenichi (Chinese) wins tonight. Movies on offer - Channel 7 - Die Hard 2, Channel 10 - The Mummy Returns. I choose the latter, its more fun. Bro calls in to say that he will call when he gets to certain station, so I can pick him up. I watch the movies while channel surfing because of the election results. Labour concedes defeat graciously. Poor Labour, I so wanted them to win. Next time!!
10:30pm 20 mins before movie finishes, bro calls. Lock up house, drive 5 mins, his train pulls in, some police car was at the station with lights, bro gets out, we get out of there, back to finish the movie.
11:50pm Shower.
12:20pm Parents call, they are at the station, except that their feet are killing them. Who can blame them, they are old and walk to the train station and restraunt in the city is a long way. Quick drive, back home in 5 mins.
12:40pm Chat with parents about their night. 200+ people attended, they left at 11ish because they didn't wanna be stuck in the city at night. But plenty of people still there, to celebrate 'Double 10 Day' 10/10. I forgot the significance of this day, something to do with the govt :P My money went into their red packet... I should've gone to dinner with them... Lobster, Crab, Prawns, Abalone, Sea Cucumber, its a seafood feast! (And my dad didn't have much allergic reaction... he took some red wine... maybe thats why? I might try that... except don't have any red wine handy. Only one bottle of beer :P They had a good time... I wonder if I went, would I have had a good time, or would I've been bored out of my mind? Maybe The Mummy Returns was more interesting :P
1:20pm Writing this blog...
1:42pm Finished blog. Yah ^^

And that was my day. Wasn't that... interesting? :P Seems like a lot of stuff, but in the end I'm just a chauffeur for my family. :P

Its Friday! Yay!

Nah, no yay. I'm so tired... I came home feeling tired, so after dinner I watched Simpsons then I just went and had a hour's nap. Why was I tired? I don't know... I did have a swig of Vodka Cruiser at work today... somebody was leaving, and they had a little farewell. Except that when we got there, there wasn't any cake left... oh well... I'm not becoming an alco, so don't worry. But when I drink it, I feel sleepy? Not drunk... But yeah, I didn't have any accident on the road... :P Even now, I still feel sleepy. And tomorrow will be going to vote... and hoping for a change! And then going to a wedding ceremony... so yeah... nothing else to report... Work was usual, one engineer came back from a week's holiday, he just had another son to his family (not sure how many he had before), congrats to him (he gave us some lebanese sweet... and damn it was sweet... lucky I don't have diabetes (yet) :P)

blah blah blah

Ah, Thursday again. Tomorrow it'll be Friday, and then Saturday, and guess what, we got an election. After the election I'll be going with my parents to see a wedding ceremony, and then come home, since at night they'll be going out for the reception or dinner or whatsoever. Today was a pretty boring day. Woke up pre-8am (instead of post 8:30am), and got to work at 8:30. There were no cars in the parking lot (I don't park in the parking lot... I park on the street...). So thats how early I had turned up. Anyways, did the usual in... very little came in... seems like nothing was broken in the past week... wow... amazed. And had about the same amount to ship out. During lunch me and collegue went to see the only female in the service dept's bf's car in the underground carpark. Its a Mazda Mazda3 SP23. Nice car, but... I can't afford it. Not for a few years anyways. My supervisor wants a new car, so does my collegue. Supervisor = Toyota Camry Altise? or something Camry. Collegue = Mazda3 MAXX Sport. Its the same everything else as the SP23 except the engine in the SP23 has more power. Looks exactly the same... Guess thats a easy way to upgrade? Apparently the Neo is the same as MAXX, and MAXX Sport as well. Just that tiny inside differences make it different. *Shrugs* I want a new car, but I think I'll have a Toyota Corolla or Echo... maybe Echo is a bit too small. I want at least a sedan. Camry would be nice... Ah Friday... what will happen... hopefully nothing... but it seems the latest trend is that its always the busiest on Fridays...

Free Lunch again ^^

Heh... I'm pretty tired today... but felt like I didn't do much... Well, in the morning, I woke up from I suppose was a dream, except that I don't remember it at all. And then, looking at my alarm clock, it was 8:37! Shit, I was already late. Don't know how I managed to sleep like a pig though... Guess I'm not as sensitive to light? Anyways, got to work late (9:05), supervisor already opened the gates, and then I found my college was late also... haha funny, supervisor thought we were in some traffic jam... But he was actually buying a HDD for his PS2... so yeah thats why he was late. Work was normal, then lunchtime was here. We set up the table, food was bought and placed, and we had lunch. Same as last time, chicken, chips, salad, coleslaw, gravy, drinks (Alcoholic + non-alcoholic). I drunk 5%/Vol Pineapple Cruiser again, and didn't feel anything. Neither did my collegue, who had 2. But my supervisor had about 3/4 of his Hahn Light (2.75%/Vol) and he was feeling a bit tipsy... but then again, he must have good circulation... Anyways, I took 1 of each bottle home because they were sitting in the ice that was gonna be thrown out. So they are sitting in the fridge... waiting to be drunk... but by who? :P Heh. Guess I'll be sleeping early today :P Oh yeah, my bro, he has his wisdom tooth coming out, and it got infected or something, so became swollen that he can't open his mouth wide to eat big pieces of food. His gf is a chinese acupuncturist (sp?), but only been studying for 1 year. She tried a lot of things, sometimes effective, like when my bro can't sleep due to the pain, she poked 2 needles and he was out like a light. But she couldn't reduce the swelling. So she took my bro to her sifu, and then she asked what she done, and she told her. So the sifu sticks one needle. The swelling INSTANTLY goes down. Thats... amazing I think. Even if its coming from a secondhand source. My other bro thinks that the gf might be feeling sorry for herself, since she can't do something spectacular as that... but hey, since she's a newbie, its alright :P Its the thought that counts. Ok... gone :P

Shaun of the Dead

"Hi, excuse us, but we're pretty F*cked! :D" heh... tonight was pretty funny indeed. I left the house at around 4:30, caught the 4:50 train, got in around 5:50. Felt hungry, so bought some chips... 50 grams for $1.90... expensive! (Lemon and pepper). Waited for my friend, he shows up at 6pm, we head in, and I gave my name, it was there, we went in, and watched the movie. Now, I don't like horror films. I watched one or two before, and... well, they ain't my bag. But this is a comedy horror. And the main actor and the director of this film said specifically that this is not a spoof. And it isn't. Its more of a mish mash of comedic horror. And some of the scenes were over the top funny, I really laughed out loud, so did most of the audience. Other scenes were shockingly bad... But overall its another 'leave your brains at the door' film... just enjoy it for the silliness that it is :) The viewing tonight is a special preview, the main actor (Simon Pegg) and the director came in to give a Question and Answer session, but me and my collegue didn't stay. But before the show started, they said the sentence at the top... because one flew in from London, the other from the States... heh they got the audience relaxed for the gory fest that was about to begin :)
After that we went to KFC, and I waited 30 mins for the 9:30 train. Got home an hour later, no hotties on the trains... damn... there was this 70+ yr old couple that was fighting at Central station. By 'fighting' I don't mean physical, but the body language showed that the wife did the husband wrong, and he wasn't happy at all. He wasn't so happy in fact that he got off at a station and parked his bottom on a bench, all the while ignoring his wife's plea to get back on the train, the wife being distraught enough and looking desperate at the train doors closing. Lucky they had a couple who are around the same age with them... maybe they will talk some sense into him... Or they can get a taxi, since the next train though that station is another half hour at least...

Anyways, enough of today... tomorrow is a work day. Laters :P
