Time-shifters...

Now Australia has officially gone into daylight savings... I've already lost one hour's sleep :P now its +3 hours to Taiwan's time... its a bigger gap... also +1 to Bris, since Bris doesn't like to be saving their daylight.... :P life will get harder, thats for sure :P

Busy...

I guess I dropped off the face of the earth with my non-blogging. Well never fear... I'm back :P
Today is Saturday... I woke up at 8am, got to work at 9am, did 3.5 hours of counting... finished the OT at 12:30. Came home, had instant noodles for lunch, and went out to www.cworld.com.au to see if I can buy a 256mb Kingston SD card for my camera for $55. Unfortunately, sold out. So, I bought a speaker set from Juster (sorry not Justy). www.juster.com.au is the website to go if you wanna see... I got the 3D-602s model for $40. Great sound, great bass.. :D I can compete with my next door neighbour if they decide to play loud music at night :P But I won't... ;P Pics will be up shortly at my wretch site shortly.

Friday... we practically stopped doing the paperwork after 4pm, just to prepare for the stocktakes... ended up doing stocktake till 8pm... crazy right... thats 3 hours OT :D. So yeah, work was alright, stocktaking isn't.

Thursday... normal day... preparations for stocktake hasn't commenced, its everything as normal.

So... I'm tired... but Sunday is no OT... so its all good. But come Monday and... we'll be in the caged section of the warehouse counting tiny boxes.... wouldn't that be fun.... NOT!

I will survive.

Big Trouble in little warehouse

Its the end of the year... well... not really, but its stocktake time. But there's no stocktake sale. So yeah... we're gonna do a stocktake of all the shit thats in the warehouse... GAWD HELP US ALL!!! (The spare part inventory alone is over 500 parts big... -_- We might have to overtime on sat, its extra pay... :D) What can I say? We don't do any shipping out except for urgent stuff, so its shut-down time... and then we count and count till we counted it all... So yeah... if I'm too tired to come online... you'll know why :P Also... I've uploaded only 5 new pics... is that slack or what... :P But at least I'm still trying to find new things to take pics of :P

Yawn

woken up early today... in fact woke up just before the doorbell rang. at 7:50am. Why? Cos they were gonna build a new fence between us and the neighbours... they got working while I was eating breakkie... with the circular saw. Lucky I don't get headaches... but anyways, I had to back the car out because they were doing it all in one day... 40 meters of it. So I backed it out, had brekkie, and left at 8:35. Of course, I got to work on time... strange. Anyways, after a eventless day at work, came home and the fence was finished... seems like it was done in less than 7 hours time... pretty good I guess. But of course, its not good on my budget... man so many things are coming out from my pocket... I'm always poor... poor me :P. Anyways, I'll post the pics up to my wretch site later... gonna hit the sack.

He was a sk8r boy... I mean dog..

Tyson skating is... simply put, amazing... :P

Television set cries for help

October 23, 2004

Television hardly ever gets better than this. An Oregon man discovered that his year-old Toshiba flat-screen TV was emitting an international distress signal picked up by a satellite, leading a search and rescue operation to his apartment in Corvallis, Oregon, 110 kilometres south of Portland.
The signal from Chris van Rossmann's TV was routed by satellite to the Air Force Rescue Centre at Langley Air Base in Virginia. On October 2, the 20-year-old college student was visited by a contingent of local police, civil air patrol and search and rescue personnel.
"They'd never seen a signal come that strong from a home appliance," Mr Van Rossmann said. "They were quite surprised. I think we all were."
He was told to keep his TV off to avoid paying a $US10,000 ($14,000) fine for "willingly broadcasting a false distress signal." Toshiba quickly contacted Mr Van Rossmann and offered to provide him with a replacement set for free.

______________

Hahaha is this funny or what? Secretly they are building in distress signals... ready to make people go 'holy crap! I ain't watching illegal pr0n!' But how does a 20 yr old college student afford a flat screen tv??? @_@ rich bastard.

Near Heart attack...

I went driving just then... to pick up my bro about 15 km away... and on the way I nearly had a heart attack, and I'm pretty sure my mum almost had one too. Basically I was going at 60 km/h down a long stretch of road... and this brown hare (or rabbit) raced across the road... both the people in the front seat just gave a tiny gasp... The rabbit (it didn't look like a cat due to the long ears) was probably about 50 cm on the other side of the road by the time we drove by... so it was a close call... And my bro in the back seat said 'just run over it'... I don't think so... if I did... the car probably would've skidded and we'll get bad karma. Anyways... enough heart pounding excitement for tonight. I've been uploading some pics taken today... not many, but with a 64 mb SD card its easy to fill it up with crap shots... http://www.wretch.cc/album/Kenman2k is the website... laugh all you want... :P I'll just take less shots of me thats all :P Also, my bro went to play a home lan session today (since 9am he was packing up his comp etc) and hasn't come back... past midnight... Think he's out having fun still... and trying out a loan LCD... if he likes it, there's a defective one out there from my supervisor that might be for sale... so yeah... see how it goes... if not, then will get another model... wonder what he will copy from his friends??

Weather

Its been raining hard for some hours, and then not hard at all... so I didn't venture out of the house at all today... watched bro play FarCry and some Warhammer40k games... he liked the LCD monitor on loan... so I guess have to see if that unit will be available... :P Didn't take any pics... so nothing new there either... a very boring day indeed. But I did watch "The Twins Effect II" - Starring Jaycee Chan, Jackie's son... and the two main girls in it were pretty cute... :P but apart from that... its your standard HK movie... some action, some comedy, some romance... I liked the bird being slammed into the wall and then the posessed girl being slammed into the wall bit... funny as all hell >:D

Yay~~

Lets see what I got today... 1 DVD Burner, 1 Spindle of 25 8x DVD+R, and 1 Wireless mouse. Now, it took all of 10 minutes to %^$*& open the metallic grill of the front of my bro's case... and then 2 mins to set up all the cables, and 2 mins to boot up and install nero... 6 mins to burn all of Madlax (4.28 GB), and to find out that I've been burning at 16x onto 8x media. Bad IDEA. It failed, so I made the first DVD+R I ever burnt a coaster. Of course, never to sit and contemplate my failure, I immediately pop another DVD+R in and then burnt it at the recommended speed. 8x. It took around 8:13. Thats more like it. I even tried it on my dodgy DVD reader. Apparently the 16x speed DVD+R media can burn full disk under 6 mins... I can see how that can work. Except its expensive now... And don't get me started on Dual Layer Media... 2x on DL... thats pretty interesting...
The wireless mouse I installed on the TV machine... it works pretty well, except that I am scared that it'll chew through the batteries like nothing... So have to take the batteries out when not using it. Safer that way, right?

Ok its past midnight and I'm still blogging. Need to get some sleep.

Energised

I'm still a little wide awake past midnight... Its weird, but now its pissing down heavily... but during the work period it was just a light rain (mao mao yuu). Needless to say, it got pretty wet all day till around 6:30 - thats when we got off work... OT for 1 hour -_-. Stupid parts. Always too many. Tomorrow will be alot too. Anyways, I'm excited because I've been playing with my new TOY. Its still sitting on my desk charging. A digicam... first time anybody in our family has owned one. About time too? 5 Megapixels, good res, and plenty of adjustable functions (time, aperature, shutter speed, focus... what more can I want? Oh yeah a bigger SD card... its only got 64 MB included (no internal)... might have to get a 256 since 512 are rather expensive.) Its also pretty small and rather handy. And the flash on this baby... it scared the hell out of my mum when I used it... she was shaking when it went off... hehehe funny :P But it's really bright, the flash. In a brightly lit room too. Anyways, its still raining hard, I don't know when I'll be able to sleep, but this morning I woke up with a sore neck -_-. And didn't wanna get out of bed, since its cold. But nevertheless, life goes on, $$ needs to be earned, and photos need to be taken. Maybe I'll open an account on Wretch... but what should I take... plenty of flowers? maybe... :)

It had to happen...

Elfen Lied Fighting game is here... Its 'inofficial' (don't you love EngRish?) And it looks cute... pity u don't get to chop arms and legs off like the anime :P

Buy! Buy! Buy!!...

I think its the first time I've actually went 'what the heck... lets just buy it'. Of course, its buying with my collegues, so guess what I bought? 1 x DVD burner (16 speed +/- Dual Layer). 1 x 25 spindle of 8x DVD+R media, and.... a wireless mouse. The burner is for the issue of running out of space (so it'll be installed on bro's computer to stop his yapping). The mouse is for my mum, so she won't be sitting on the ground in front of the TV playing Zuma late at night... she can actually sit at the table instead! :P And, if luck permits, I'll buy the digicam I want at a slightly more expensive rate. But if I do, it should be worth it... afterall, its a 5 mp (real, not interpolated) camera, and at the price I'm hoping to get it, its actually cheap. :P So hopefully I can get that. Lets hope nobody else has that kind of plan... :(. On a different note, today was actually pretty good weatherwise. It was raining a little in the morning, but by the arvo it was fine. By closing time it was normal autumn temperature. A little cold, but bearable. Why? I was working my ass off in the warehouse and felt hot... so walking in the dusk it was a little cool but a nice balance to the heat. I added some petrol... $1.025 a litre! so it sux. Then as I pulled into the house driveway, mum was waving to say don't stop the engine... So I didn't. We drove to check her bank balance, and came home. Everything was in order, I withdrew some $$ (:~~~() and thus I'm set if my stuff arrives... then clickety click click - burn baby burn! :P

I'm... scared...

I was burning a CD... and after it hit 100% and doing the 'lead-in and lead out' phase, the drive starts making a very horrible grinding noise... I'm sure that it died. My fears were confirmed when Nero came up with 'fixation error'. I just made a coaster. On my table I have about 200 CDs, 50 which are unburnt, and 5 coasters. Its probably gonna increase a bit more now -_-. To test if the drive's really dead, I burnt another CD. This time it didn't make a horrible noise, but it did make unusual noise (probably fixation checking) pre-burning. And thus I have to be wary of what I burn... in case it dies and I didn't realise it.

Anyways, it's been pissing down today... so everybody is dreading the rain, going home in the wet, blah blah... Its cold! And a lot of stuff to do at work... One of the engineers came and asked me what my background was... what, is he gonna do a police check on me? Turns out he might be going on hols for about 6-8 weeks, and needs somebody to do his work in the meantime... I told him I did med eng, and he considers it. I don't know if I'll be doing his work, its unlikely, but hey, if the supervisor's supervisor gives the ok, I might have a change of work for 6 weeks or so? Something in the wind.

Eat your words

Tonight's CSI was pretty funny... this guy was made to eat his words because he made up a word in a game, like scrabble. But its called 'logos'? I didn't quite know the game, but there's no board, and the tiles are circular. Anyways, the 'dead' guy made the word 'exvin', saying its a person who used to drink. So the 'killer' adds the 's' to the end, the dead guy goes 'challenge' and the killer was pissed off, so killed him by stuffing the letters in him. Funny thing is, 'exvins' makes 'vixens'... :P I noticed that before one of the CSI people did. Anyways, it was a pretty good episode. Cold Case was interesting too... its a 1989 case, and I knew the woman was evil... but then again, most of the cases are fairly predictable. But still its good to watch. Kathryn Morris's (She was in Paycheck and Minority Report) eyes really shine in certain scenes... like she's about to cry but not... I think I heard before that if your eyes shine it means you're smart... hmmm or if u're gonna cry alot? I dunno :P

Bleh @_@

It was nice yesterday, so why did it start to rain today? And its bloody cold too! I couldn't understand it... I actually had to wear my black 'jacket' and long pants today... it was that cold. And then I had my haircut, while I was talking to my friend online... sorry my friend, my mum couldn't wait to cut my hair :P And the sky was getting dark, and cold wind blowing... wasn't nice, but I felt that I need to get some hair off my head because its getting hotter... a preventitive measure for summer :D I spent the rest of the day watching anime... Samurai Champloo 13-16 (one more till it ends), Elfen Lied (still being mad -_-... I don't know why I am feeling sick, but yet I still watch... -_-). And the new anime, "Yakitate! Japan" I've read most of the manga thats be scanlated (by snoopycool) and so the anime is following it (for the first episode). Same as School Rumble (scanlated by Manga Inc.) it follows the manga to the last detail... But some anime don't follow properly, like Midori... oh well, who am I to complain... I have too much anime to watch as it is :P

Life, Usual As

Its been cool today... the weather I mean. Woke up late, its a great feeling. Bro needs to get some price for shades for his archery club (like a portable marquee). So went to "The Warehouse" and "Bunnings" to see whats on offer. Also went to get some Halogen lighbulbs. 10W, 12V - $4.95 x 2. Also he wants a multi-tool. You know, them collapsable tools that's like a swiss army knife except it opens into pliers. Thats only $6. So, spent $15.90. He didn't have to buy the shades yet, the club will decide I guess. Also, coming home from work, saw the petrol price gone up to $1.09-$1.12/litre. Yikes! Closer to our place, its around $1.02. Thats still expensive since thursday, which was $0.995. -_- Soon we'll be paying $1.50 a litre and nobody'll bat an eyelid. Later one I burnt all 26 Eps of Aishiteruze Baby. I watched the first 4 and thought... um... what the hell is this -_-... needless to say I got much better things to watch. School Rumble Ep 02 is good, Bleach Ep02 is excellent, and haven't done anything else. Oh yeah also bought a pack of $2 RCA-RCA cable (the cable going from DVD/TV into the speaker/subwoofer). Except when the checkout chick scanned it, it was $1. But I don't need a extra pack. So, saved $1! :P Bargain. :P Tonight's Iron Chef was the Lamb battle. Except bro's seen it before, weird, how come I haven't. Anyways, Iron Chef French won over his ex-apprentice. But Lamb is rather hard to cook... but delicious :D But something's wrong with my hearing... since the afternoon my left ear can hear, but also the sound sounds 'dull'... the right ear can hear properly... so I have no idea what happened.

Thursday, October 14, 2004

cool

Its cool again... lucky. And I didn't OT today... but we have so many things to do tomorrow... I'm amazed that I don't get a headache! Theres like 5 boxes of boards... each box would have about 30 boards... and theres around 20 different types of boards. -_- And we gotta put those boards into their own little box... arggg too much!! will probably take a few hours. But its a friday, so yeah... good to know the weekend is coming up :D

38 degrees

Its offically the hottest day in Oct in Australia on record, being 38 degrees. And its not yet summer. Today in the warehouse, the most said phrase was 'its hot in here isn't it'. Well duh. What do you expect? We don't actually have an air-con unit in the warehouse, but the warehouse office has a A/C unit which goes to a minimum of... 18 degrees. Since we don't actually have 4 walls, the cold air actually escapes. The wall is actually clear plastic strips. Its to effect easier access, since there isn't a single 'door', but its all of the length of 4 meters. But that means its very hard to maintain the 18 degrees. Thats the temporary relief we get when we get back to our seats after working the warehouse. Better than nothing, right? The service people actually have an industrial strenth AC unit... its around 17 degrees in there! And their space is about 8 times as big as our office in the warehouse... -_- open plan as well. So yeah... thats cool. And the office upstairs... needless to say they have a better air-con system. Ducted. Went up there for a few mins to deliver some boxes... and can feel the difference - maybe 1-2 degrees cooler than the service area. Also spent a lot of time replenishing body fluid... need to, in this heat. Also, had a lot of items to put into the spare parts. And there's already stuff in there... had to cram it all in... over 50 items, each different -_-. Fun, right. You can feel my sarcasm flow off the screen :P. But thats just me. And my collegue of course... having to ship out many items. So, naturally, we OT today as well. Thats now 3 days in a row we've OTed... Might be a trend? Who knows... also I need to get more media, but the cheaper ones got bought today by the very fast service guy... he sure has spare cash lying about, since some of the items he buys aren' cheap. And we can see what he uses to pay... and its not a card. Oh well, maybe I can buy 50 off him since you don't really need 200, but then again, I probably would... 200 x .7 = 140 gigs... currently around 65 gigs of anime on bro's comp... need to burn, or get another HDD... -_- ahhh its another dilemma... :P

MSN fighting Messenger difficulties, virus

MSN fighting Messenger difficulties, virus... So thats why I couldn't msn for a day... :P Because of a 'Funner' (more Fun?) virus...
Its hot. I'm pissed. Supervisor left early. Did OT. Watched CSI and Cold Case. Going to bed.

Monday, October 11, 2004

Hmm....

I was working on the forklift today when the supervisor's supervisor came and talked to me, asking what I grad from. I told him, and he goes that I might be more suited to something else, and to give him my resume when I have time... I don't know, I'm pretty happy with the things they are right now... But yeah, I have to wonder how much pressure did my dad's friend (the wedding) put on the s.s. I should tell s.s to chill out, not to worry about getting me a position inside or 'higher up' since well, that'll put more pressure I think. Anyways, sad news, Christopher Reeve, aka Superman, has died, aged 52. Born in 1952. Coincidence? No idea. But its sad. On other movie news, theres this movie called 'Team America'. And its a puppet movie (Think 'Thunderbirds'). Except its made by the guys from South Park. So yeah, can't wait to see that one... :P Team America Website.

I Love Sundays

Sleeping in is great :D Especially on a Sunday. Woke up 11am, bummed around, watched tv, then just watched 4 episodes of Elfen Lied... I'm telling you guys, don't watch it. Its like totally fooked up. Its one of them anime you wish that... you can watch and enjoy, but unfortunately you just can't... not with this kind of anime. Also watched the first episode of "Bleach". Its about a guy who can see ghosts, and becomes a Death God. How the hell do you get 'Bleach' from something like that? @_@ Apparently there's a character called 'Splash' in it too... -__- Anyways, tonight saw 'Collateral Damage' not to be confused with 'Collateral'. Arnie is a Firefighter, and he saw his wife and kid get blown up. So he goes and blows up the bad guy. Overall its not bad, but not enough action! *pounds fist into hand* I demand more action from the governor of Cali. :P

What a day!!!

Its one of them days where I feel I have done simply too much, and come away without anything. Few things came out of it as good, others, mundane.

8:00am Alarm rings. I didn't immediately wake up, but everybody else was up. So got up a little later.
8:45am Officially Up... personal grooming, had brekkie, and looked presentable.
9:30am Drove with parents to a church, not to pray, but to vote. Its election day, hope Labor wins (but they wouldn't)
10:00am Started the 1 hour drive to the wedding ceremony in Lindfield
11:10am Found the place. Called 'Swain Gardens', it was originally a block of land (owned by somebody called Swain) and he donated it to the government so it became public property. The place is pretty big, and I'd say its around 2-4 acres. Very 'sunken', its like about 10-15 meters below the main road, so getting to the place (up and down) was exercise itself. Very nice, got a grassy area for ceremonies, and they set up a marquee there for the occasion.
11:30am Guests start to arrive in the dozens...
12:00 Ceremony starts... They got a public celebrant to invest her power into making them a couple. Also, they hired a 4 piece orchestra (Violin, Flute, Bass and something else) to play the lovely music.
12:25pm Ceremony finishes, they are officially Husband and Wife. Congratulations! Thus we go to the marquee to get some grub.
12:30pm The cake cutting is a bit delayed due to missing knife.
12:35pm The knife is found! The couple cuts the cake.
12:40pm Photos taken at many pics per second. Its amazing how many people want to pose with the bride and groom. I didn't have any connection with them, apart from having the same english name as the groom. :P (Same first english and same chinese surname. Just write surname little differently in English I think.)
1:00pm Crowd mingling at around 100+ people. Good atmosphere, lots of chatting, mostly in Taiwanese and Mandarin, and English of course. Multi-national people here, some from Taiwan, Perth, Singapore, and of course local Syd people. And the 4 piece orchestra played. Foods include: Mini-baguettes, the staple Sandwiches, Sushi (no wasabi), Chicken Drumsticks, Mini-Quiches, fruit platter, and the required drinks - Champagne, Red and White wines, Orange, Apple juices, and Lemonade/Coke. Not very filling, but hey, its just light snacks... They are obviously saving their stomach space for tonight... I don't get to go... *sob sob*.
1:30pm We leave, not before saying goodbye to about 10 people (going back several times too). My supervisor's supervisor also turned up late, but hey, I get to see him every working day... :P
2:30pm Got home. Not before being abused by both parents because I took a path which wasn't planned by my mum who had the map. I had driven this place before (The Funeral episode... hmm... 1 wedding and 1 funeral... need 3 more weddings to make a movie I guess?) and my parents were abusing me ("wtf why u going here? I didn't check the map!!" "I know where I'm going" "the hell u do!!" "I've been here before" "So what, we got the map". Then I got to where they were familiar and they shut up... shut up pretty much the whole way after that incident. I think that they just can't trust my judgement enough, if they can't see that the way I took was actually a short cut (its like I took a longer triangle's side. They would rather take the simple way, (two short paths) but it's longer. I took a shorter but windy road.)... In the end they just don't talk, its much better for me I guess... After getting home, found out the bro left at 2:10, 20 mins earlier. He left for a fundraiser.
3:00pm Mum cooked some noodles, egg, lamb pieces, a sausage and chopped up some veges. Thats because after the road 'rage' incident they asked if I wanna buy some fast food like KFC or maccas, but I declined... I just didn't wanna drive somewhere further than that, if they were gonna bitch about the 'distance' that I took was 'longer'. So I get to cook the veges and then mix in the noodles and cooked meat for dinner.
4:30pm Parents leave for dinner. The dinner's in the city, so they have to catch a train.
6:40pm I start to cook dinner, while watching Monk. Somebody has a problem with their downloads. After getting fustrated with them, it was eventually decided that the problem was a corrupted download. With bittorrent, I find that hard to believe. If that person had a corrupted download, all the other people downloading that file WILL ALSO have a corrupted download. -_-. I guess something must've gone wrong there.
7:00pm Dinner. Eaten while still watching Monk. Double episode I guess.
8:30pm Iron Chef! This time its Bamboo Shoots. Yummo! I love pickled bamboo shoots, especially the spicy ones. Iron Chef Kenichi (Chinese) wins tonight. Movies on offer - Channel 7 - Die Hard 2, Channel 10 - The Mummy Returns. I choose the latter, its more fun. Bro calls in to say that he will call when he gets to certain station, so I can pick him up. I watch the movies while channel surfing because of the election results. Labour concedes defeat graciously. Poor Labour, I so wanted them to win. Next time!!
10:30pm 20 mins before movie finishes, bro calls. Lock up house, drive 5 mins, his train pulls in, some police car was at the station with lights, bro gets out, we get out of there, back to finish the movie.
11:50pm Shower.
12:20pm Parents call, they are at the station, except that their feet are killing them. Who can blame them, they are old and walk to the train station and restraunt in the city is a long way. Quick drive, back home in 5 mins.
12:40pm Chat with parents about their night. 200+ people attended, they left at 11ish because they didn't wanna be stuck in the city at night. But plenty of people still there, to celebrate 'Double 10 Day' 10/10. I forgot the significance of this day, something to do with the govt :P My money went into their red packet... I should've gone to dinner with them... Lobster, Crab, Prawns, Abalone, Sea Cucumber, its a seafood feast! (And my dad didn't have much allergic reaction... he took some red wine... maybe thats why? I might try that... except don't have any red wine handy. Only one bottle of beer :P They had a good time... I wonder if I went, would I have had a good time, or would I've been bored out of my mind? Maybe The Mummy Returns was more interesting :P
1:20pm Writing this blog...
1:42pm Finished blog. Yah ^^

And that was my day. Wasn't that... interesting? :P Seems like a lot of stuff, but in the end I'm just a chauffeur for my family. :P

Its Friday! Yay!

Nah, no yay. I'm so tired... I came home feeling tired, so after dinner I watched Simpsons then I just went and had a hour's nap. Why was I tired? I don't know... I did have a swig of Vodka Cruiser at work today... somebody was leaving, and they had a little farewell. Except that when we got there, there wasn't any cake left... oh well... I'm not becoming an alco, so don't worry. But when I drink it, I feel sleepy? Not drunk... But yeah, I didn't have any accident on the road... :P Even now, I still feel sleepy. And tomorrow will be going to vote... and hoping for a change! And then going to a wedding ceremony... so yeah... nothing else to report... Work was usual, one engineer came back from a week's holiday, he just had another son to his family (not sure how many he had before), congrats to him (he gave us some lebanese sweet... and damn it was sweet... lucky I don't have diabetes (yet) :P)

Thursday, October 07, 2004

blah blah blah

Ah, Thursday again. Tomorrow it'll be Friday, and then Saturday, and guess what, we got an election. After the election I'll be going with my parents to see a wedding ceremony, and then come home, since at night they'll be going out for the reception or dinner or whatsoever. Today was a pretty boring day. Woke up pre-8am (instead of post 8:30am), and got to work at 8:30. There were no cars in the parking lot (I don't park in the parking lot... I park on the street...). So thats how early I had turned up. Anyways, did the usual in... very little came in... seems like nothing was broken in the past week... wow... amazed. And had about the same amount to ship out. During lunch me and collegue went to see the only female in the service dept's bf's car in the underground carpark. Its a Mazda Mazda3 SP23. Nice car, but... I can't afford it. Not for a few years anyways. My supervisor wants a new car, so does my collegue. Supervisor = Toyota Camry Altise? or something Camry. Collegue = Mazda3 MAXX Sport. Its the same everything else as the SP23 except the engine in the SP23 has more power. Looks exactly the same... Guess thats a easy way to upgrade? Apparently the Neo is the same as MAXX, and MAXX Sport as well. Just that tiny inside differences make it different. *Shrugs* I want a new car, but I think I'll have a Toyota Corolla or Echo... maybe Echo is a bit too small. I want at least a sedan. Camry would be nice... Ah Friday... what will happen... hopefully nothing... but it seems the latest trend is that its always the busiest on Fridays...

Free Lunch again ^^

Heh... I'm pretty tired today... but felt like I didn't do much... Well, in the morning, I woke up from I suppose was a dream, except that I don't remember it at all. And then, looking at my alarm clock, it was 8:37! Shit, I was already late. Don't know how I managed to sleep like a pig though... Guess I'm not as sensitive to light? Anyways, got to work late (9:05), supervisor already opened the gates, and then I found my college was late also... haha funny, supervisor thought we were in some traffic jam... But he was actually buying a HDD for his PS2... so yeah thats why he was late. Work was normal, then lunchtime was here. We set up the table, food was bought and placed, and we had lunch. Same as last time, chicken, chips, salad, coleslaw, gravy, drinks (Alcoholic + non-alcoholic). I drunk 5%/Vol Pineapple Cruiser again, and didn't feel anything. Neither did my collegue, who had 2. But my supervisor had about 3/4 of his Hahn Light (2.75%/Vol) and he was feeling a bit tipsy... but then again, he must have good circulation... Anyways, I took 1 of each bottle home because they were sitting in the ice that was gonna be thrown out. So they are sitting in the fridge... waiting to be drunk... but by who? :P Heh. Guess I'll be sleeping early today :P Oh yeah, my bro, he has his wisdom tooth coming out, and it got infected or something, so became swollen that he can't open his mouth wide to eat big pieces of food. His gf is a chinese acupuncturist (sp?), but only been studying for 1 year. She tried a lot of things, sometimes effective, like when my bro can't sleep due to the pain, she poked 2 needles and he was out like a light. But she couldn't reduce the swelling. So she took my bro to her sifu, and then she asked what she done, and she told her. So the sifu sticks one needle. The swelling INSTANTLY goes down. Thats... amazing I think. Even if its coming from a secondhand source. My other bro thinks that the gf might be feeling sorry for herself, since she can't do something spectacular as that... but hey, since she's a newbie, its alright :P Its the thought that counts. Ok... gone :P

Shaun of the Dead

"Hi, excuse us, but we're pretty F*cked! :D" heh... tonight was pretty funny indeed. I left the house at around 4:30, caught the 4:50 train, got in around 5:50. Felt hungry, so bought some chips... 50 grams for $1.90... expensive! (Lemon and pepper). Waited for my friend, he shows up at 6pm, we head in, and I gave my name, it was there, we went in, and watched the movie. Now, I don't like horror films. I watched one or two before, and... well, they ain't my bag. But this is a comedy horror. And the main actor and the director of this film said specifically that this is not a spoof. And it isn't. Its more of a mish mash of comedic horror. And some of the scenes were over the top funny, I really laughed out loud, so did most of the audience. Other scenes were shockingly bad... But overall its another 'leave your brains at the door' film... just enjoy it for the silliness that it is :) The viewing tonight is a special preview, the main actor (Simon Pegg) and the director came in to give a Question and Answer session, but me and my collegue didn't stay. But before the show started, they said the sentence at the top... because one flew in from London, the other from the States... heh they got the audience relaxed for the gory fest that was about to begin :)
After that we went to KFC, and I waited 30 mins for the 9:30 train. Got home an hour later, no hotties on the trains... damn... there was this 70+ yr old couple that was fighting at Central station. By 'fighting' I don't mean physical, but the body language showed that the wife did the husband wrong, and he wasn't happy at all. He wasn't so happy in fact that he got off at a station and parked his bottom on a bench, all the while ignoring his wife's plea to get back on the train, the wife being distraught enough and looking desperate at the train doors closing. Lucky they had a couple who are around the same age with them... maybe they will talk some sense into him... Or they can get a taxi, since the next train though that station is another half hour at least...

Anyways, enough of today... tomorrow is a work day. Laters :P

Ahhhhhh public holiday~~

Heh... waking up late on a Monday... thats a nice feeling... No rush, take everything slowly. Last nite blogger was having some issues, so I ended up with 7 posts. Lucky I can delete them today :D

I will be leaving later on today to watch the free movie. In the meantime, I watched 'Mai-Hime' Ep 01. ITS GOOD! Well... its got a lot of action, and cuteness. Definately for the guys :P Ho ho ho :P

Sunday peaceful Sunday

Ah its nice today... slept in till 11... then watched "Sky Captain: The World of Tomorrow"... then played a few hours of Duke Nukem: Project Manhattan... Bulldogs won over the Roosters in NRL Grand Final... Anyways... heres a in depth discussion...
Sky Captain is a movie done entirely on a green/blue background. But, if u watch the movie, you'll be hard to imagine that all the actors did were to act in front of a green wall for most of the movie. The main characters are Sky Captain (Jude Law), Polly (Gwenneth Paltrow), Dex (don't know who he is), and Captain Cook (Angelina Jolie). The story is adventure, with Sky Captain and Polly trying to save the world because of missing scientists (with the help of Dex (scientist) and Cpt. Cook (A Captain of female aquaphibians).. Its supposedly 'set' in the 1930s, but the technologies are more advanced than that is available today. So, its basically a 'sit back leave ur brain behind' kind of movie. Not bad for a sunday lazy sitting in front of the tv viewing :) One thing about the robots... they feel like Ghibli's Robots in some of his anime... people might disagree, but hey, it doesn't matter... its similiar, not exactly the same :P. Anyways, the address for it is http://www.skycaptain.com
Duke Nukem: Project Manhattan is... a side scroller. Its in 3D. And its hella fun. Blasting radioactive monsters. Solving Puzzles. Getting Pissed Off. (Famous Quote: "It's Time to Chew Gum and Kick some ass... and I'm all out of gum.". Hours of Fun for me :)
Dinner, we had Wontons. Yummo :D~~. And, its grand final for the NRL. When the bulldogs won, many many many fricking idiots drove around honking their horns and yelling loudly on our street... -_- almost like a riot... Lucky it stopped in about 15 mins... now its nice and peaceful :D
Didn't watch tv after that... just surfed and feeling tired. And can't wait to watch Shaun of the Dead today..... the trailer looks pretty funny (to me :P) Website.

Rain

It was raining all day today. And yesterday as well at night. But the main point is... today there were plenty of rain. It never stopped for the 8.5 hours I was at work... and the time I was at home it didn't stop either. I think only now its a light drizzle or something, since I can't hear it on my tin roof. Anyways, work was very much the usual. One of the service engineers was on leave, so we don't have to do his stuff. Just let it pile up and do it on one go, its easier for us that way. However theres still a lot of stuff for the other engineers to fix, so we're still busy. Didn't have much other things to do... Guess its not so bad on a Friday. But since its the first day of the month, there was some stocktaking to do. That was done without a problem... but a problem for our supervisor cos there were some missing products, but not from the warehouse... which was good. Turns out they were missing since Feb (after a break in... -_-) and they didn't bother updating their database... which rather sux, but what the hey... the marketing people are too busy doing their shows that when they come back, they forget to do their own stocktake of what they got... and that always messes up the system, and who do they try to blame when things go missing? you betcha. Poor us. :P Oh well, as long as we got the records, they can't blame us. They only got themselves to blame. :D So its important to keep records of everything that goes in and out of our warehouse... too much finger pointing going on around here. Anyways, came home in the rain, watched Simpsons, and then bro borrowed a digicam from his supervisor. So took some pics... pretty crappy I must say, its because the non-flash mode is rather grainy. The ones with flash looks much better, sharper, but sometimes got shadow effect (dark on the edges...). Ahhh I want my own camera!! :(
My Futurama poster... that my bro gave me as a Birthday Present... sorry its a bit blurry... :P Posted by Hello
