Antec.com -- SmartBlue SL350

Antec.com -- Power Supply I've commited to replacing my power supply that died with this baby. Sure its not the powerful wattage that modern computers require, but I'm fine with a 250W model now, a 350W won't hurt. Besides, it has pretty blue LEDs that flash! (yeah my bro got a video card with pretty colors that flash... funky when he turns off the light at night... u can see the light show through his case...) This baby costs me $77 and $14 in Freight... $91 in total, compared to around $129 if I got it at a local shop... I wonder why its so expensive in Syd @_@.

Abrupted (yeah I made that word up :P)

Today I got to work late... Normally I wake up at 8am, wash up, dress, and eat brekkie till 8:25, get into my car and drive 15-20 mins and get to work before 9.  Today I drove 15-20 mins to about 5 mins away from work, and what do I find? The bridge that was supposed to be worked on was shut.  Now, normally around these parts, they give ample warning, meaning signs and stuff.  Driving to work everyday I only ever saw ONE sign.  And it says 'Rawson Bridge closed on 30/7/04 - 01/8/04.  Now, naturally one assumes that it closes AT NIGHT, not on the ACTUAL day.  I think this has indeed caught many people off guard, as they all drove up to the bridge, and found an impressive barrier facing them... and some dodgy '<- detour' signs... now though I only drive one way to work, I know that there is no way that 'detour' will get me across to parramatta road.  It goes to another surburb about 10 km west.  So I did a turnaround at the roundabout and went east... straight into a traffic crawl.  I think a snail at this time would beat me in going 1 meter in 5 mins.  I seriously sat in that lane of cars for about 10 mins per 100 meters.  Turns out other 'smart cookies' decided to join this other particular street, which funny enough, intersects this street... so its like people competing to get through one way, using many different ways.  In the end I was 30 mins late.  Work was ok till a certain point, when we cleared up most of the incoming stuff, there was some engineers who put some spare parts back into the warehouse.  About 50 items, all individual.  And we had to find space for them, in an already cramped shelf space.  So we 'add class' (worked late) till 7pm to get them all in (and that was annoying), and then I went home via a new way - the way I came to work.  Except that there was one turn which I couldn't right turn into... so I got lost again.  So I got home around 30 mins later (usually I take around 15 mins max) and had some dinner.  Now I feel tired, even after a nice shower... guess I'll sleep sound tonite :P  What an adventure aye :P

Boredom

Today seems to be the end of something and the start of other things.  We have practically done all that there is to do in the receiving department.  Only one package came in after 3pm, which was pretty weird... But a lot of spare parts came in, and they will be put away tomorrow by my colleague.  I've seen him battle with this broswer hijacking trojan on his machine for about 2 weeks now.  It ended today.  Now no more pop up crap when he opens IE on that machine.  Its like he spent about 1 hour each day (not consecutively) just to flush the system with ad-aware, spybot, pestcontrol.  And it just keeps on poping up and doing some weird stuff to his start page.  But I'm glad its all finished now... (not sure if he'll get more in the future but...).  So that's the end of something (for now).  Starting of something...  I guess that's this one new sales guy coming down almost once a hour just to give us something to do (i.e send out stuff)...  I think he's here less than 2 weeks yet he's so productive... hmmm (or maybe because he's the new guy he gets to be sent down here by the 'older' people?? hmmm indeed...)
PS: The new guy nearly made a mistake which could've cost him dearly... lucky I'm such a nice guy ;P  Lets just say that instead of sending a package to a  Ratard, they managed to write an 'e' instead of 'a'.  I knew that we had already sent one package to  Ratard, and its very bad if he made a spelling error... especially when the address was the same.  Ho ho ho (should've let him burn, but I have nothing against him...)

Vindicated.

You know when people blame you for no reason at all its not a nice feeling.  Especially when you are in the right, and they don't know anything.  And then blame you for all the wrong reasons.  Work was fine today till this arvo.  Then some of the @*!$&% from upstairs who are doing a show on the Gold Coast called up to complain about something which has 'supposedly' arrived to the warehouse.  And they said I signed for it.  Yet it wasn't there.  So 'They' blamed me for something I supposedly did.  i.e. They think I lost the parcel or something.  Now, we have procedures in the warehouse to prevent packages being lost.  So when we looked at the area of DHL, it was empty.  Thats because we put away the stock that came in.  And nothing was left there.  Next thing we checked was in the bin where the DHL receipts are put... There was no 'package' for that particular day (apparently on Monday).  So that got the warehouse guys asking the person who was calling from the Gold Coast, how the hell did they know I recieved a package from DHL and I, signed for it? It turned out they just called up DHL and said 'hi we know a package came for and it came on Monday.  Can we know who signed for it?".  Just like that.  Thats *(@!&$& STUPID!  They don't even know what package came.   If 3 packages came via DHL on monday... I hate to think what they'll be blaming me for next.  After not finding the consignment number, we called up DHL ourselves to see whats the deal... and it turned out that I did sign for it.  Except the package was 18 kg.  Now, the things the guys are clamouring for is way less than 18 kg.  We then called up to get the Consignment.  Turns out it was some spare parts for storage.  Thus I was cleared of doing any losing of stuff.  Vindicated.  I felt relieved but pissed.  The guys should not just blindly call up without knowing what was being delivered.   And then saying 'but Ken signed for it".  Sure I sign for it, but I know what comes into the warehouse.  And they don't, so don't go calling DHL and asking who did.  We should make a procedure just to prevent stuff like this happening.  Ah... @*&$*&!%!!!!.  CSI was alright tonite, it was a bit better last night though... and now they got Simpsons running at 6-6:30pm and 7-8pm... heh triple the dose of Simpsony goodness :D

Hotmail sux

I don't know why... my hotmail has been reduced from 3mb to 2mb.  WTF?  In this age, I guess hotmail just really sux.  Yeah lucky I got my gmail.  *pats his gmail* :D.  Then I got my yahoo mail too *pats his yahoo mail*.  And then *kicks his hotmail*. :P  Also, some idiot who wins something should be gracious in accepting his gift right?  But Nooooooooo... (sarcastic 'no' there).  The winner is actually a whiner, calling up the office to bitch 'why hasn't my prize come yet'.  We sent it on Friday -_- they expect it to be there on Monday? hah yeah right.  Loser.

Hmmmmmm bad....

Transport Infoline. It was rather terrible. Somebody died just before I drove past that station... *shivers*. I can think of several bad things that first came to mind. I drove home as usual, then at the Regents Park Station the traffic crawled. I thought to myself... there's a huge amount of people at this normally otherwise quiet station. In fact, there were people queuing on the opposite side of the street (maybe for a bus?). Since the traffic was waiting for many many people to cross the zebra crossing, I looked at the station. And I see MANY MANY PEOPLE ON THE PLATFORM. Literally the platform was full of people. And they were all looking at one thing. The tracks. I immediately knew something bad has happened, and I hoped it wasn't anybody I knew. (Thankfully my immediate family is safe.) As I was still waiting for the traffic to move (people were actually driving slow just to have a look...) the police pulled up. This immediately set off a chain reaction where cars just immediately drove... So I got out of there. I can think of many reasons why somebody can fall to the tracks. A) Its dark B) Its wet/slippery cos its raining C) its in a bad part of the neighbourhood. 5 mins later I was home, and my bro calls that he was coming home from uni. The other bro was at home already. I should've told him to expect some delay, since I wasn't sure what was going on at the station, but he found out that he had to get off at Lidcombe and catch a bus to the other stations because something happened at Regents Park. And he saw a red shape on the platform... -_-. Thus its pretty bad, we tried to catch any news of it on the news, but nothing appeared. Guess it'll be on tomorrow. Also saw some strange news on aus tv. In Tainan, some gang members tried to hijack this old guy's car, the police gave chase, and they ended up firing 3000 bullets at each other -_- and nobody was seriously injured. Who the hell fires that much and not hit anything @_@ Work was 'fun'. A whole pallet of monitors came in (around 8) and had to open them all and examine it before giving to the engineers. Fun. NOT. Small items are fun cos we can play with them to an extent... but monitors, no, can't do much except examine them... And on Friday some guys apparently left this 'elbow' thing made out of white wood in the warehouse. They called from the Gold Coast to see if we found them. We eventually found it was wrapped in brown, and well, its made out of metal, not wood. Good one guys, if any later you guys wouldn't have a good show :P Lucky we were good at guessing that this was an 'elbow' looking thing... otherwise they'll come back and go 'we couldn't do it without the elbow'... and we'll be in trouble :P

Test

I'm testing my email-to-blogger function... :P

Back to normal... for now

I think I am one of the people that really do appreciate the weekends...  It really is a period of recharging... of doing jack squat, playing a few games, being a sloth around the house, you know, that kind of thing...  Anyways, picture this.  Its a nice (a little windy) day today.  So what does mum do? She gets us bro to bring out the Dryer (see a few posts ago...) and plug it in... To dry the clothes, of course.  On a nice sunny windy day.  Thats called stupidity.  At least we know it works...  After 30 mins its pretty dry.  But I guess it takes around that much time on the hanger to dry also...  (Don't know about my friend's pink one... does it dry faster? :P).  Anyways, I did a 'checkup' of the car.  The water in the radiator, in the battery, and in the windscreen washer were filled, the oil was checked.  Prepared for another week :P  Also I got a haircut.  Felt a bit long so I got mum to give it a snip.  I prefer short hair since its easier to manage :P (unlike my bro who likes long hair... hmmm).

I felt it... and did it feel bad...

Heh... it took me a day to recover from what happened yesterday... work was normal on Friday... till 4:30pm (when the sun begins to run away from the moon). Then it was go go go all the way till 7pm... We had to move the huge laptop into a truck which was around 20m long.  Its a trailer... or was it a semi trailer? one of the wheels came up to my chest... quite huge.  It rolled in around 5... but we had 30 mins to move some smaller pallets out and all these other things out... and then the fun started... supervisor did all the forklifting (thank god I didn't have to do it...), moved all the pallets before the giant notebook, and it took around 8 people to lift it over their heads to the truck.  Then the second bit also took the 8 people... by the end the extra help disappeared, only 5 people remained... some females were looking, the boss even was upstairs having a beer and looking at us while we're slaving away trying to fit huge wooden pieces onto the truck... *sigh*.  Anyways, I think we managed to move around 4-5 tonnes of crap that they are taking up to the Gold Coast/Surfers Paradise for the show... quite impressive considering it only took 5 people 2 hours... :P  Quotes the driver (also one of the helpers) "I feel sorry for whoever is gonna unload this".  Ditto, mate.  I feel sorry for whoever unloads and loads it.  If 10 people did, then I don't feel sorry, but considering this is going to a convention of NERDS I don't think there'll be too many Arnie lookalikes around to help... but after coming home I felt like I didn't wanna do anything... eating took twice as long, I think I stopped eating after 9pm after 2 bowls of rice... in around 1.5 hours @_@.  And then I slept till 1pm today (got to sleep around midnite last nite), while listening to the rain... its cold, and then now its warm... but I feel like a sloth... don't do much on the weekends...  I don't know what will happen on Monday, but I think we're safe for one week... then it might come back and we'll be sore again...  Tonight saw an episode of "Monk", which I haven't seen for ages... Funny, theres this hispanic guy... I think he loves being the bad guy, or the bad guy with the good conscience, or just that he looks like he belongs in jail... cos I think he appears in all these movies where they need badasses... Like Desperado, Once Upon a Time in Mexico, The Butterfly Effect (the christian guy in the jail?) and now Monk... well he just has this face which is like 'mean' but I think he's pretty cool (a softie inside).

I can feel it coming...

You know it'll be painful when alot of people converge in the one place they DON'T normally converge in...  In this instance, the warehouse isn't were people converge in, but today I think we had more than 10 people in there at the same time.  10 people in the warehouse, thats nothing you say? Normally its just 3 people.  So why 10 people? well lets see... 3 of warehouse, 3-4 of marketing/sales, 3 of advertising agencies.  Yeah its a madhouse out here, rather like the storm before the eye of the storm... thats when we knocked off work, it was quiet.  But theres debris everywhere, pieces that are begging 'please put me to good use next week'.  And that darned notebook... its just begging to be put somewhere else, and not hog up our valuable space...  Next week there'll be some show up in the Gold Coast.  I won't go (of course) but heard that some will go to assist... good luck...  It'll be so nice there... while we're all here being the miserable selves that we are :P.  Actually many people are going away on business... Racking up the mile points? But I wouldn't be in sales... too much pressure... especially the one who screams out the upstairs window at the warehouse for the reason of 'letting it all out'... I swear, she's just kooky.  (Yes, she's the one who asked the huge laptop to be put into the warehouse when we ALL knew that there's no space...)  Moving it... arrrgggg I can feel the pain.... :P

I, Lucky~

Yeah! I went to see I, Robot for free! Before the majority of the australia people who will see this movie too :D How lucky was that...  But the problem is... I missed out watching the first 30 mins of the movie.  How sad.  Anyways, this is what happened.  Work was normal.  Tiring.  Challenging.  About 10 mins before knock-off time, one of the marketing guys came downstairs with a ticket.  I didn't know that, because I was busy forklifting stuff around.  And then as soon as we hit 5:30, my collegue comes up and says 'hey do u wanna go to the movie with me, quick' and I go 'what?' and he's waving the ticket that I've seen before... the Admit 2 to the special advanced screening of I, Robot that our company is sponsering (starts 6:30)... I go 'sure, but I don't know where it is' and he goes 'I do, lets go'.  So I stop what I am doing (trying to recharge the forklift) and said bye hurriedly to our supervisor, and I parked my car in the company garage (hopefully I didn't park in the boss's space) and off we went to catch the movie.  Except we got to the wrong place.  My friend thought it was the George St Hoyts.  It was instead the Fox Studios Hoyts.  We were about 10 mins drive away, but since it was 6:30pm (at the city), traffic was crawling.  We had to consult the street directory to find out where the cinemas were! (I never been to Fox Studios, friend did... but didn't remember.)  So we got there in 1/2 an hour... The movie was already in full swing, action galore... I got to watch the 1.5 hours left of the movie.  Really enjoyable, exciting and well, Will Smith.  The one funny sentence I LOL at was "*coughs* I am allergic to bullshit".  Ahaha thats funny.   It finished at 8pm, we headed over to UNSW to grab some grub, and I got a ride to Central station.  Bloody trains didn't arrive as often, and my station was in the middle of limboland, it took even longer for a train to go through there.  I got home around 10:30, and had a shower... and that was practically my day gone.  Good huh :D  Now all I need to do is watch the 1st 30 mins of the movie :P (ho ho ho)...

PeeDee Toys - Robosapien Robot

Robosapien Robot... I want one... but its not as good as the "NS-5" :P

Being slaved like a horse...

You know you've worked too much when the pile of stuff that you finished is smaller than the pile of stuff that comes in...  Wait a minute, thats normal, if u're being paid pretty badly for a casual.  Recently stuff just keeps on coming in, and when I say coming in, it comes in by the palletful.   And when you thought you've done it all... another load comes in.  It just never ends...  Anyways, the weather is still bad, been raining at work, but not at home.  And I missed out going to watch "I, Robot" for free.  There were two tickets for grabs, but some service people got them... damn... oh well I guess I'll have to pay the $8-$10 or so at bankstown on the weekend? hmmm...  Or else I can be a slack bastard and get it off the net... hmmmm :P  I wanna get some songs..  Kelis - Trick Me... Its got a nice reggae beat.  And I got Hoobastank - The Reason.  Nice soft rock.  Ah I need the sleep....

Happy Birthday to Bro...

Its my bro's birthday today, happy birthday to him.  The whole day my mum and dad slaved over the stove to cook many dishes... and only his gf came (we hoped that his mum would come too, oh well).  It was a cold day, didn't rain, but it was windy as all hell, so windy that the back fence fell over (it was already falling apart...) to our side... and I went to buy milk and 'he mian' (rice noodles) but apparently I bought the wrong ones... hmmm... they only sold these types, the skinny types, not the 'thick' types my mum wanted... so my dad went out and got them from a different shop later...  My bro printed this huge picture of a chinese dragon which he intends to quill... since we got this giant wooden frame... he used about 16 pages... thats quite big, not sure if he'll actually finish it, but who cares... :P  Dinner we had traditional chinese birthday stuff... means its noodles, pork, egg, and 'jiu tsai', meaning 'longevity'. (the last one is some sort of green vege, which is long and skinny, and thin.  I think it might be chives, but I might be wrong.  Not sure what it is, but its what people have traditionally...) After that, there was 'tako' (Octopus/Squid) with Spicy Ginger Sauce, steamed fish, seafood, and the 'he mien' wide rice noodles.  After that we had two types of cake, one from bro's gf, the other made by mum...  You can guess I'm very full, and you can also guess what I'll be having for lunch tomorrow... :P.  Also had some oranges from our back yard, not too bad, the tree was already here when we moved in...  And since tomorrow is another working day, I will go sleep now and write later.

More to the previous previous post

I forgot to add in to the big post I had just then... One of the marketing people gets to go to the I, Robot premiere in Syd and get to meet Will Smith himself!! *pissed off* damn marketing people!!!! sux... :(

Spiderman II in LEGO!! ROFL!!!

Spiderman in Lego... Its good quality, so its a big download... :D

A bad day.

Pissed Off.  I had stepped back in time by using a lower powered PSU.  A measly 250W instead of 300W.  Why? It burnt out.  Upon opening I found out that one of the capacitors had bubbled out its innards and melted.  So that was what the burnt smell was.  I thought it was because of this weather, since its so humid and cold today.  I didn't know that was why it died though.  So I had to get out my bro's old comp, the trusty PII-300 with its 250W power supply and bunged it on this machine.  It whirred to life, except that it shut down almost immediately.  I had managed to hook the wires on the fan to the CPU, preventing them spinning, thus it had heated up to 80 degrees... Lucky the mobo had thermal shutdown, thats why I saved myself the trouble of buying a new computer... (not that I can't afford it, but I really don't need a new computer just yet...)  With that out of the way, I'm back online, baby!  and I can tell you the rest of the story (i.e what happened yesterday)...

Yesterday.  The day before today.  (16th of July).
After the big spring clean, everything had a sense of cleaniness.  So we tried our best to clear up the incoming stuff.  It was going well till 3 big boxes came in.  So we will leave those for monday.  Lunch time was the BBQ chicken rolls.  The PA to the MD got them from red rooster... + alcholic beverages.  I drank a Pineapple Vodka Cruiser for the first time... didn't feel a thing.  Some people after drinking a little bit of alcohol turn red... they have good livers apparently? or was it circulation... Anyways, after a speech, lunch was over, and we were back to usual.  After work, some guys from work went to have dinner at Eastwood.  I never been there, so I followed a friend's car.  Got there in around 30 mins, 10 mins if no traffic (the traffic is banked on the highway... really peak hour traffic.  We left at 6pm and got there at 6:30... lucky I don't live north...).  Anyways, the other guys turned up around 7.  We ate at at Japanese style restraunt called 'Torin', owned by Koreans.  Menu was Korean and English.  At a japanese restraunt.  Anyways, had Sashimi (waaaaaaasssssssaaaaaaaaaabbbbbbbiiiiiiiiii), Sushi, Tempura, Rice, Fish, and other small dishes... no alcohol this time, since I had to go home by car, but other people (who were all older than me btw...) all drank.  Only me and my friend didn't drink....Not sure thats a good sign or not, but thats how they are... all good friends, chatting away.  Just chatted about general stuff, nothing really interesting... I didn't understand half of it, since they speak cantonese... haha crazy, I think I need to learn some just to 'fit in'... :P  Anyways, finished dinner at around 9pm, and got home at 10... took a long way around, cos I got lost twice (and yeah somebody laughed at me... what kind of friend laughs at somebody who gets lost AT NIGHT and IN A STRANGE PLACE??) and so I got home safely, surfed for a little, and crashed my bed.  Woke up at 11am because mum wanted me to see if a monitor on offer at a garage sale was good or not.  It wasn't, not for $40 + a 486... not worth it at all.  But we did score a working Dryer (to dry clothes in winter) for $35... hmmm... does that mean we'll be warmer now, with that in our lives? hope so.  :P  And thus was just surfing and doing misc stuff at home when I smell the burning wet smell for around 1-2 hours.  Then, shortly before dinner, the computer shuts down when I'm in the middle of a game. -_-.  And you now know the rest of the story... congratulations for reading this long,   I give you a clap as a reward :D

Spring Clean...

Today, everybody in the warehouse had a job to do. Not doing the same job at the same time means its very tiring. Me and collegue did separate jobs, and supervisor did his paperwork (the pile is over 1000 pages... quite scary to go through). Basically we consolidated pallets of stuff together, some going to one site, others just being arranged to take less room. In the end we got rid of around 7-8 pallets worth of slack space. Looks really nice. Meanwhile I did the normal work, which was receive and unpack, and pack and dispatch. Marketing didn't really ask much of us today, just arrange something to be delivered to NZ... which I have no idea what to do, but it involved using FedEx and stuff... guess I'll have to learn next time. I don't know why we use so many companies... FedEx, DHL... they are all good brands... but I don't think that you need to use so many companies... Anyways. Tomorrow we have a free bbq~~ so I don't have to bring any lunch... and then maybe I'll go with supervisor and collegue to have dinner with other members of the company... who knows what will happen? (apart from having dinner... I don't think anything will happen... (bunch of old guys... only 'young' guys are me and my friend... hmmmm... guess they'll be discussing something serious? and half of them will speak cantonese... so I won't understand didly squat...). Anyways its late... I gotta go sleep (yeah managed to wake up at 8am today... amazing considering I usually wake about 7:30... must be extra tired?)

Birds of a Feather... Fly into the warehouse?

Today was an ok day, our supervisor finally came back today, after 2 weeks of moving warehouse? Yeah he looks alright, guess he's stronger after doing all that... I mean more tired. Anyways, before he came back, the strangest thing happened... there was a bird flying around on the roof of the warehouse. The gate was in the down position, meaning in order to fly into the warehouse, the bird would've needed to be flying at around 2 meters high, and then cross the gate up into the warehouse... anyways, we threw pens, squishy balls, and empty boxes at it, but it doesn't wanna fly out, even with the big gate in the 'up' position... So after trying to get it out of the warehouse for around 20 mins, and failing miserably (it even sang a few notes as if to ridicule us saying 'haha you guys can't hit me :P~~') we gave up and did the other stuff that needed to be done... I then saw a shadow cross the wall of the office... and then I knew the bird was out of the warehouse. Hey presto, it flew out without any encouragement from us. Later in the day some people from upstairs asked if the bird flew out safely, they had seen me throwing objects from their windows... hehe yeah they must wonder what the hell I was doing... chucking stuff at the ceiling... But why did we do what we did? Because A) one bird flew in before, and died after a few days (cos couldn't get out) B) it would drop birdshit everywhere, C) it would set off the motion alarms in the warehouse at night... Anyways, that was the exciting news of the day I guess. It felt weird to have supervisor back, been a few weeks without him, only talk with him on the fone and email to arrange certain things, but yeah... good to have him back... Will be less busy I guess... but with marketing people doing marketing stuff... I doubt it... Tired... laters.

Hmmmm.... What will aussies do?

Interesting article in today's SMH.

There's something about hands...

There was something that happened yesterday, or the day before, depending on when u read this... but basically my mum got scared by my bro... and it was to do with a pair of shorts... Basically, my bro called my other bro and said that his hand went grey. That got my mum worried instantly... thought something happened... and she was nearly freaking out. But the problem was that my bro didn't feel anything wrong with his hand. And he got his normal color back after washing with warm water. But then, as he was going home, he noticed his hands were grey again. So he called to say he'll go and get it checked. The doc couldn't find anything wrong with his hands... but told him to exercise more. Anyways, turns out that he was wearing a new pair of bad quality shorts (in winter) and well... the color of the shorts were blue, but it stained his hand every time he reached in to take out his keys to his office/labs... funny right... but yeah its my mum, always worried over small things that doesn't amount to much. Today however, the work was fine, except the marketing gal and her friends got some armchairs and boards which they want to store in the warehouse. And here we have no bloody room. They unloaded the lounge suite off the rental truck... and it was damned heavy, even with 4 big guys (*laughs*). Later we found out its got mechanical bits which makes it recline... -_- thats why it was so bloody heavy. Apart from that, we moved them to a 'safe' location, since they'll move elsewhere after a week... also will have to move the huge laptop outside in a few weeks time... cos they will be using it to promote a movie? 'I, Robot' is the logical choice. (I saw a bit of new on 'wearable TV-shirts... available for around $10,000 and takes 10 mins to put on... and they were promoting 'I, Robot' too :D). Anyways, after coming home, when I wanna use my left hand, it hurts... think it took too much strain... so will hopefully be better tomorrow. And CSI tonite was new, which was good... and well, to put it simply... 'It was an outside job.'. Funny smile Grissom has... hahaha

Wanna Save a Seagull?

Blardy tired!!!!!!!!!

You know you're tired when all you want to do is drop on the bed and pass out. Thats what I feel like doing right now. Except I just wanna write down what happened today. First of all, went to work. Friend called up just as I was 5 mins away to say that he was gonna be late. He came 1/2 hour late, which wasn't so bad. I opened up as usual, except that the alarm was tripped twice today, because no authority figure had the code to the warehouse, thus it triggered the alarm. Then somebody shut it off, and when I thought it was safe, opened the door, and the alarm got triggered again. And then it got turned off properly. Anyways, marketing got a show for 1 day tomorrow. They needed 5 kiosks which are bloody heavy and 2 meters long to be delivered by 10am tomorrow... so me and collegue were running around like headless chickens trying to pack the pallets that the marketing guy wanted... lucky we said it was for 5pm pickup, but still... when the load came in at around lunch time, I was the one who was unloading them... we got some of the staff to move their cars too, just like the huge joybook we had before... u can imagine the fun of it... 5 black pod looking things in the carpark... like a space ship launch or something... And the orders from the lady kept on coming... but we didn't do them till around 4, since it was too much to do for 2 people... I think we should get the other casual back for today, but it was too late... we also kept on getting stock from FedEx and DHL... damn it so busy... then when the courier came, we moved the pods plus 4 pallets onto the truck... took around 20 mins (and thats because I'm not crazy... bloody thing drops and I'm dead...) and well... it was hard work, loading 9 things onto the truck.... and the other courier came and that was late also... and in the end, we worked till 6pm... so I got around 9 hours of work today... can u blame me for being tired? I hope not. 9 hours might be ok to some people, but in the field of warehousing, its a LONG day. Tomorrow will put stock away, and arrange for more courier goodness, and pick more stock for the lady down stairs... also they got another staff in... wah its more and more people now... too much people and not enough space!! Or should I say too much stuff and not enough space!! wah we need more space... ok u can see that I'm rambling on... good nite.

Bumming Around

You know its the end of the week when a fat lady sings... or dances down the stairs, going 'Thank god its Friday' and gives a cheer *shudders*. That was the bad bit. The good bit was that she only handed some sales orders to be fulfilled, and she went on her merry way. Other than that, Friday was pretty good, no stress or anything. The girl that gives the stock stuff was away sick, so we didn't have much to do, apart from doing the usual engineer's stuff. Saturday, slept till very late, then watched Spiderman 2... it was weird, I got emotional, which I don't usually get... must be coming down with something... :P Played a few rounds of Soul Caliber on the DC, and then it hung on the 7th level (again... why??). Weird. Today, Woke up early for a change... don't know why, maybe it was the washing machine that did it. (Though I did go to sleep around 2am... hmmm) Went shopping... bought food and more food with mum, 30 packets of noodles for around $7.50. Its alright I guess. Fruit, veges, milk. Then come home, and picked up two cabinets off the street (its for our own D.I.Y kitchen in the back project... see the post about the Green Sink...) and then I'm about to install Max Payne 2 on my machine... see if it works of course :). Laters...

Time Travel

At work, when we do any items for 'in' 'out', we always put a date on it... so it was surprising when there were several items that were fixed on the 8/8... for today... Hang on, my birthday isn't here yet! :P Funny it took that long to fix it, and then send it back in time :P (yeah you can guess I'm BORED :P)

So... what have I done...

Well... today was a freezing day... so I woke up after 8am... but still managed to get in before 8:50... anyways, work was very relaxed today, not sure why, nothing left for 'in', and only 21 items for 'out', and nothing too hard to sort out... a very relaxing day indeed. Anyways, it started raining about 30 mins before we were supposed to finish, and it was very localised... not even 5km away it stopped raining, the road was completely dry... and when I got home, mum said that it hasn't rained here at all... so... what gives... And... well... life is boring... really boring... and I need to sleep... wah 11:30!! so late already... (well I've been watching my bro play some Max Payne 2, Simpsons Hit and Run, and Gunbound is giving away free gold and avatars... w00t!! :P Not that I've played for a while, its still fun to see what news there are in some parts of the world... Also played some Soul Calibre on a Dreamcast my bro borrowed from a friend... but strange, it conked out after about 20 mins play... and other games play fine... whats the deal!!! wanna woop his ass :P But I get 'pwned'... oh well...

What a kid!

What a... KID! :P

A Time to Shop~~

Recently, I got some vouchers to be used... $100... to be used for job related purposes. So I got some pairs of jeans, socks, and undies (yeah the old ones were 'old'...) That amounted to $100. Quite scary... (although a pair of jeans which is 'named brand' is around $50 already... so its not that bad... I'm cheap :P). Anyways, that took around one hour. I woke up around 10 today, early for a Sunday morning, just to go shopping. After that, we went to the newly opened 'Auburn Central', besides the Auburn train station. The complex is still being built, with plenty of housing (units) and a huge shopping center... We went to the Big-W there, got a Frying Pan (Tefal brand) and a pair of $8 shoes... Cheap! :P. After that... we went to do some food shopping in Woollies... Man its huge... and... since its a Sunday, they were discounting meat... alot of mean were half price or more... in the end we bought 17 packets of pre-cut meat, around 2-3 kgs worth... also there was this guy who was cooking sample meat, and my mum couldn't handle it, since it was too spicy... but it was nice :D. Pity we never get to eat that kind of stuff at home... mum doesn't like to cook that kind of stuff... just traditional chinese stuff... :P Anyways, went home, and got to start burning some stuff off my computer, since it was running out of space... also burned off Midori no Hibi, since it was finished at 13 Episodes... *sniff sniff* I wish they will make a OVA or something, or even a second season... but it might not happen... anyways, tomorrow is another working day... will have to go sleep... cyas :P

TGIF...

Yes... its been a week without blogging. Week in this case is Weekdays... Work has been rather... interesting. Some of the marketing people gone on sick leave for a few days, while others gone to Portugal to watch the UEFA 2004. One day there were only like 4-6 people downstairs when there are normally 10. Really quiet. Then the day after everybody was back in and full of action... Also we had late starts because the Holder of the Keychain was late. So yeah... been a hecktic week. Now I guess that I got that out of the way... I will probably sleep my weekend away... :P
