Forgetful...

Me and my collegue was expecting to go out for lunch today. What happened? The supervisor of our supervisor told my supervisor to go buy some country chicken burger from Hungry Jacks. We looked at each other... obviously something was making him too busy to remember? Anyways, I told my friend to buy one as well for me, since I didn't bring lunch. So he bought three. And when I nearly finished mine, and my friend was halfway through, the SS came in with his lunch... and was sitting down, about to eat... and he goes 'oh yeah! I was supposed to take you guys out for lunch today! damn'... hahaha and we've already finished eating!! Anyways, I spent around 30 mins helping out marketing guy, he's got a lot of shows to attend... so sorting out his stuff to go on a road show... lifting boxes and stuff... really heavy boxes for some reason... guess I'm used to light boxes nowdays... :P But other than that, work is the only reason I don't go mad, because its to keep me occupied... came home, had dinner, went out shopping... the local supermarket was in final stages of renovations, so all the aisles were completely different in layout... Bought 4 packets of chips for $8, save around $6 or so... not bad. Other stuff was pizza for tomorrow's lunch... milk, other stuff... cereal as well... ah too late now, need to go sleep... probably another busy day tomorrow... :P

Bizzare video clip...

Um... I was just crusing around the web, trying to look for Lyrics to the song by Under17, called "1 + 1". Its a nice song. Then I happened to come across this.... I mean... what the hell @_@ its some sort of weird porno or something... -_- (17mb download). Another one by the same group called 'Be' is also weird... See it. Be warned, there's an AV star in there!! :O

Relaxed

Wow... I actually woke up late for once... like 1:30pm late. Yeah... luxuriously late. It wasn't raining in the morning, but it did in the arvo. So I spent the entire day watching movies. First it was Torque. Not too bad, funny sometimes, especially with the wise-cracking FBI agent. Then again he's a dope, and deserves what he got. Then I watched Minority Report. Now thats what I call a good movie. Much much much (x 1000 times) better than A.I. Sure, it has its flaws, but no movie is flawless. And it was long too. Then at night I watched some Rush Hour. Tomorrow it'll be Rush Hour 2. I might or might not watch that. Anyways, apart from that, nothing much happened... so its pretty relaxing. Oh yeah while watching Minority Report I was eating 'huen tuen' or wontons, as they are more popularly known for dinner... yummy :D

Busy morning...

This morning (sat) I woke up early (7:45) to attend a service (9:45) for somebody I had no relationship with. In fact, its only because of my supervisor's supervisor that I actually bothered to go, if it was somebody else, then maybe not. The service was held in a cremetorium, the person had been cremated before, this was just a service for auspicious reasons. I took a wrong term once in the 40 min drive to get there... not bad, considering I got home without a problem. Except the trip to was quicker than the trip back. Guess by that time (11:00) more people are awake and on the roads. I got there at 9:10, after driving in the quiet surburbs. Its near the national park... quiet and cool. After getting to the designated spot, we were gonna go in one car (5 people) but no car was big enough, so we took two cars... After arriving and parking, we found out the service had started already 3 mins into it. We went in, and got ushered on to the top balcony. They had 2 monks (female) which sang and chanted for some time. Then the sons had some eulogies and final words for their dad. Then we just went and gave our respects to the departed, even though we didn't know him at all. The things you do for your boss... :P Anyways, at the end, everybody got a red packet, which contains candy and a coin. I think we're supposed to eat the candy before going home, and spending that money before going home, to ward off bad luck. But I had another one, which was leaves, which you take to, but throw away before you go back home. Lucky nothing has happened since then. Anyways, yesterday (friday) nothing much happened... Work was normal, and, well, the same. Which is good. :P Found out Taiwan finally got 2 Golds and 1 Silver and 1 Bronze. Taekwando. And Archery. But Aussies had dropped down to 4th, after Russia got same amount of Gold... oh well... Still the best away effort.

warm days are here...

I took off my jacket at around 10am, and now its around 10pm and yet I've not put it back on... sure its a bit cold now, but still its not cold enough I need to wear the jacket. Its that warm, plus all the exercise I got during the day... the usual day, except my collegue was feeling very down... I think it has to do with the chinese event that happened a few days ago (and happens in feb for westerners). But yeah, he was feeling very down and blue... poor guy... sighing and stuff. In the end he left around 4 because he couldn't work at all... thinks he misses somebody very badly... I don't blame him, he's a nice guy, maybe something happened with the girl and she turned evil... (sounds rather bad, but I think something similiar happened to me?). Anyways, nothing much futher to report... blogging off.

Theres such a thing as a free lunch... or is there...

The collegue is gonna leave soon... In fact, he left a huge pile of paper for us to sort. He's been with the company for 2 years... and all he will get at the end for leaving is a card and probably a small gift. He's off to make his own mark in the world, by opening a cafe/book store. I think if I wanted to start my business, that's probably what I'd do. I'll open a small store, which imports directly from overseas, when it gets released. And charge them a reading fee, or a borrowing fee. Depends on the case I suppose. And then I'll probably have a bubble tea operation going on as well. Or a cafe style. Of course, in order to have something like this, you need to have contacts from overseas, and you probably need somebody enthusiastic enough to open the store when you don't feel like working... Anyways, today I bought my own lunch, but then since everybody was ordering thai, I also ordered a lunch box. Except that I didn't really want to. Because I was afraid I would have to pay for it. But thankfully I didn't have to. So it was a free lunch. I had to put my prepared lunch in the fridge downstairs, hopefully it won't get nicked... The same goes for my supervisor too... But with the free lunch... came the feeling of hunger. Why? BECAUSE IT WAS A SMALL PORTION! I suppose its enough for somebody tiny. But for a bigger sized guy like me, I'd probably need to eat at least 2 of those lunches to feel full. Work in the afternoon was fine. Then about 1/2 hour before we're meant to leave, marketing from upstairs want to arrange some stuff. which took us to 6pm... so I had to do OT... And those things that we had to carry... damned heavy, like 10 kg each... over 30 boxes... feels like moving t-shirts, except these boxes are a bit more fragile than t-shirts... Oh well... 30 mins of moving boxes for 0.75 hour's pay. Not bad :P Think tomorrow will have to move more boxes as well. Oh yeah, nostalgia is a funny thing... I was sweeping the floor, when I smelled something which had burnt... like a far away forest fire or something. Except that I thought it smelt exactly like Taiwan's night markets... weird huh...

Um... this wasn't taken by me... and... its about the diva awards... :P (need eyewash now!!) Posted by Hello

Another day gone...

Another day has gone by... I think nothing exciting has happened today... Aussies have beaten Japan in... BASEBALL? yeah thats weird isn't it... we're not famous for that particular sport... Swimming, yes, baseball, hell no. That's like saying Taiwan will beat Australia at cricket. Anyways, I watched some anime tonite. 2 seriously disturbing ones... Episodes 2 and 3 of "Elfen Lied". The opening and ending animations are both of a naked girl. And the OP song is in Latin. Creepy. Its just one very weird anime, about a girl who's the next stage of evolution for humans. And she can cut things inside a 2m radius. Episode 1 demonstrated this in taking off some poor girl's head. Yes, you don't want to watch this if u wanna keep your sanity. But then again, I'm insane! ^^. The other one I watched was called '2x2=Shinobuden - The Nonsense Kunoichi Fiction'. Its great! Its got a lot of weird humour, but its very funny, and I'd recommend it to anybody. Sure, its weird, but at least its light and funny. Quite unlike Elfen Lied. And the episode I watched, 5, is... well... lets just say I won't be eating mushrooms for a little bit. BEWARE THE MUSHROOM!! ARGG!!! Ok I've gotta go hit my bed now, its quite naughty. :P

Useless fact...

DIVAAWARDS.COM.AU

DIVAAWARDS.COM.AU Why did I blog this site? because tonite there's a show there. And no, I'm not there. Why would I blog something like this? I'm not gay. Or want to have a night of looking at guys in drag. But if I was, I'd be there wouldn't I. Its because my company was also sponsering this event. And they had 4 tickets for the service people. Needless to say that I'll be asking the guy who went how did he go... did he keep his... um... :P hahahaha I'm sure it would be fun, but the event was said to 'end' at 11:45... way past my bedtime :P and its in the city, meaning that I wouldn't have gone anyways... even though it was free... :P

ZUMA!

YES! I'VE FINISHED IT! :P Its addictive, how you have to shoot balls to form clusters of 3, in order to clear it. Some of the designs are plain diabolical, others are simple yet dangerous. Its taken me almost 2-3 months of playing it on and off, but finally I finished the 13th stage... Now I got other games to play... *rubs hands* :P

Another week begins

I ended up paying $45 for that dinner to my supervisor's supervisor. Why? Instead of the $609, they added tips so it was $620. Divide that by 14 and you get $44.29. If it was my bros, they would be paying exactly $44.30. But I'm happy to pay $45. Why? simply put, its only $0.71 that I lose, no big deal. Money isn't everything, enjoying a crap dinner with a bunch of co-workers is a bit better... anyways, today was pretty good, finished all the incoming and practically had no outgoing. Unlike the record we've set before, which was about 30 items going out, this time it was close to 5. I think the smallest amount was around 5 or so too... Also those display stands were being a nuisance again... we told them to go outside for 8 hours... then to bring them back in when we knocked off work. Why can't they go to the other warehouse where they have room to lie out of the blazing sun? Well blazing isn't the word, but since its spring, its a prelude to summer... the only girl downstairs was quite happy to say that she loves summer. Yet she's wearing this suit. Seems like she's still cold in this weather, whereas I was wearing a t-shirt. Exercise does you good, you know. I think I got a cramp in my back for sitting there and processing papers... Rip paper from staple, arrange order of papers, re-staple. Did that for about 30 orders and my back was sore. But as usual, those papers will pile up if nobody does them, so it won't be a job to look forward to. Also did the mopping of the floors, never had I did that job since I started working there since march... the floors were very dusty, apparently we're supposed to mop them once a week, but heck, its always so busy we just don't have time. Besides they employ a cleaner who does mop the toilets and kitchens... why not get him to mop OUR side? Stingy bums. Anyways, tomorrow is another day, hopefully it'll be even warmer... 21+ degrees thanks.

Ah its spring! or is it...

I woke up at 1pm today... and it was HOT. There was this feeling of warmness that I've not experienced for a few months now... Guess the season's in transition phase. The sun is shining, the wind is warm, what else is better than to... stay indoors and watch some anime. :P There was some spatter of rain, which lasted 5 seconds and was gone. I should be wearing shorts and t-shirt, but still I feel that this is a one-off freak of nature... tomorrow it might become cold again. Watched the 1500m men's freestyle, aussies won gold. Females 4x100m medley, gold. Females double scull rowing, 4th place. Guess aussies are only great IN the pool, not on it... :P

Problems solved

It took two trips for the washing machine guys to come and fix the washing machine, but now its fixed... no more dirty laundry as an excuse. :P And the toilet, well, there was no 'real' problems with it, just that it was 'leaking', but the leaking is caused by contacted pressure, if there was no pressure, the water will form a 'dome' shape (convex shape, like your eye) on the tube, which gets broken if it was touched... thus 'leaks'... Just simply move the cap upwards prevented the water touching anything, thus it has equalised the pressure in the water, and it doesn't leak! Voila, instant solution, they didn't have to go and spend $2.75 on some rubber caps which didn't get used either... but I wasn't sure how much was spent on the washing machine, it has been with us for more than 15 years... and thats the first breakdown... they really know how to make it last back in those days...

A string of unrelated misfortunes...

Yesterday I got home fine at 10:30... then I found out during our absence (the 3 sons) that 1) The toilet broke, and 2) The washing machine broke. Then, this morning, when we were going out to buy some carpet and buckets for the washing machine, we found out the car tyre was also broke. Well, it had a long screw on the inside... and was losing air, looked very deformed... I wouldn't have picked it except for my mum's eagle eye... but she didn't know it was a long screw either, till the guy at the tyre place took the tyre off. I went to have a farewell dinner at the place I was talking about, in Carlingford Village. Never been there before, but it wasn't surprising to see a lot of asians there... afterall, affluent asians live there... It was a seafood restraunt, so had Peking Duck, fried duck, and oily duck. Of course, we had scallops served in original shell, abalone, shrimp, and barramundi, steamed. Only one dish I didn't eat, it was beef, the others were fine and tasty, and overall I was full. Though the bill came down to $609 for 15 people, but 14 because we're shouting the guy who's leaving... Originally we had 13 people, but the only female downstairs bought her bf along, and two other service guys originally didn't wanna come came, and the one service guy who said in the morning that he'll be there didn't come... thus life is very unexpected. It was good fun, talking about this and that, and one of the funny topics of the evening was that one guy had bought a magazine in an asian shop just before he went into the restraunt. Its called 'Hi-Tech', being a HK mag, it had this chick playing with some cool looking gear. And the only girl was going "Hey I just saw this at that newsagent..." hahaha no duh, everybody came through there, and it was one of the items at the front... even one of the waitress was commenting on the magazine, it got maximum exposure before the buyer even had time to read it thoroughly... How the magazine was selling well because it had a chick on the front... even though it was tech gear... (yeah, the hk branch of our company had 2 ads in that mag, and 4-5 items reviewed... not bad, cheaper than aus that's for sure). Anyways, will have to pay for the meal on Monday, my friend was the only one who left early cos he said he was feeling sleepy... but said he had a headache after getting online... and this time, I didn't get lost! Not even once... amazing... must be 3rd time lucky, since I turned the right streets and followed the right signs... but unlucky because I managed to get a punctured tyre... (or is it tyre? hmmm). That tyre cost $10 to plug... hmmm and $30 if the plug was done better. And a new tyre would cost $70. Anyways, I'm off to watch some anime. Keroro Gunsou (Captain Keroro) Ep 4, DearS Ep 6, and other anime... and relax!

Interpret this...

I woke up feeling puzzled. That and I looked at the time, it was 7am. Seriously, sometimes I wake up few minutes before 8am, but this was a hour early. Anyways, my dream was bizzare. I was doing a delivery with my supervisor to Harvey Norman. Now, we don't deliver from the warehouse, so thats weird. Upon reaching this Harvey Norman, we find that the building was STILL IN CONSTRUCTION. And it had sand everywhere. We backed the car up the sand hill, and walked into the unfinished building. We were looking for somebody to deliver to, but its just workers trying their best to build. And then, without warning, the building started to collapse and tumble off to two sides... so we jumped from one side, then as that one started to sink and fall to the side, we jumped to the other... this happened for a few floors, and then I woke up. Was that a weird dream or what... (and I don't usually get dreams too...) Anyways, work today was pretty good, not too busy, since marketing people have gone interstate, leaving us in a relative state of bliss. Sure, there were deliveries and stuff to send out, with one item costing around $150 to send from Syd to Perth... EXPENSIVE! But its not our money... but still, its such a waste... Anyways, walking out from work, it was bright, and sunny. The rain only lasted 2 short days, not enough to curb the water restrictions. Hmm. Anyways, tomorrow we'll be going to eat at a restraunt because somebody's leaving us. Called 'Shangri-la Seafood Restraunt' or '海都海鮮酒家'... sounds like it'll be expensive *sob sob* bye bye money. But its a shame he's leaving, because HE WILL LEAVE WORK TO US!! Pretty soon the warehouse will be the guys who changes the lights (oh wait its already the service people's job... hmm), paperwork for unfinished cases, and, changing the toilet paper in the toilets. I hope that last one was a joke, cos I don't think its funny. (Well they can increase our pay... :P)

Purple, purple, everywhere, so let us all have a look...

Have you ever heard of 'water, water, everywhere, so let us all have a drink'? Its been raining all day today at work... and at home apparently too... good, but not good, since the water still hasn't gone to the dam... oh the ground is very soaked, good for plants, but no drinking water. Anyways, America has now come second in the medal tally, ousting Japan. Aussies are still third. China is still dominate in pole position. Why did I say the purple? Well, we finished work for the day, and we went out to lock the place down. And it was all purple... looked into the sky, it was purple, everything had a purple haze to it. Apparently any more blue color, and it would hail... it was an interesting effect. Pity didn't have a camera, but can do that effect in any photo editing prog... just add a purple filter to your pic, and voila, instant weirdness. Maybe a video is a bit better, but thats more expensive, and well, nobody would download a video to see purple sky. Speaking of videos... have you heard of a new format of DVD which stores 2 hours worth of HD-TV Video? HD-TV Video is twice the quality of a DVD I think (I might be wrong) but the technology is called 'blu-ray'. Blu-ray is the website to go if you want to learn the new standard for next generation video recording. One side of a disc can hold up to 23,25,27 gigs, because it uses a smaller laser, colored blue instead of red, which is what dvd/cd uses. But what I didn't know is that Sony and Toppan has made a PAPER DISC. Yes, I'm behind the times, but thats like "wow". Or maybe "wtf?". How do you have a disc made out of paper that stores data without corruption? Its paper! 51% paper to be exact. This link has the news... April 2004. Good for security, since you can just cut the paper with scissors. Bad for long term storage, since well, its paper, in water it'll probably disintegrate. In the sun, it'll probably curl. In any heat source, it'll be brown and probably burn before you can burn it. And it also raises the question... why paper? Its probably just a question of it being sustainable. Maybe they can release different versions... Paper, Plastic (well CD/DVDs are plastic... hmmm forget plastic), metal (dangerous weapons... if sharp edges), wood (hmmm wooden CDs...), synthetic materials such as polyester, Glass (hmm dangerous if it shatters). I've read before that they can store data on anything, including a roll of sticky tape. Brilliant! Except that its probably better to store data somewhere useful, instead of on something useful. Because for us, Sticky tape gets used alot. We go through basically 4+ rolls per week. Thats almost one a day. And with different types too... Normal, Fragile, and sometimes Security. So they can store data, say on the table you use everyday, since it won't be doing anything else other than being a table. Ok I'm rambling on here... time to go get my meds... :P

Somebody (not of this world) read my blog?

You know last post, I said the rain please stay, and it did. Its been raining constantly for around 4 hours or so, even so at work... except on the news its not in the 'catchment' areas of the dams... oh well... Work was tiring... had some pallets come in which were meant to go elsewhere. BUT LUCKILY I DIDN'T HAVE TO SIGN FOR IT THIS TIME! BWAHAWHAHAHAHAHAH!!! I had to restack it and wrap it... going around the pallet around 15 times sure makes you dizzy... and many stuff came in, we OT to put it all in... came home during a 15 minute period of non-rain, and then it started raining... we had 'gai fan' or 'cover rice' because mum had hurt her arm last nite... she was gonna make lunch, except a chopping board fell on her arm... hopefully its not broken, though it still hurts after a day... thats why we had gai fan because dad made it... and I had maccas for lunch, because of that... hmmm anyways, the rain has calmed down a bit, but it might still be rainy for the rest of the week... thats good, we won't be in a water crisis then :D

Rain, rain... stay a while.

We need rain. Pity we had some, and then it was gone, a fleeting moment. Although now 'my' car looks like its new... gleaming, not a speck of dust... Sure that it'll probably last a day or two, before it looks like a heap of shit, with all the dust that flies around.... That rain probably lasted around 10-20 mins... really short. Work today was ok, had alot of stuff coming in, new samples from overseas, pity we won't get to play with them... ah well... And many stuff going out, heavy boxes, its been a busy day. Come home, had dinner, and watched some Olympics... Aussie woman wins the trap shoot, second place is spanish, third was korean. Still behind China in the medal rankings. Also saw Beach Volleyball, aussies vs chinese. Aussies won narrowly... since the chinese had a 189 cm girl?? can jump and block easily I guess... :P But aussies are pretty good at beach volleyball. Anyways, tired, check out the links below this post, some interesting stuff there (I hope :P).

a day of pseudo excitement

I woke up early today... by early I meant 11am, which was early in my books. I don't know why I didn't wanna stay in bed more, but I felt the urge to wake up. Anyways, I had breakfast, and then I watched The Bourne Supremacy. Its not bad, a lot of action, but still, I think The Bourne Identity was a little better. Then I watched some more Olympics... Mens Diving, Beach Volleyball, female Hockey. Ozzies now got 2 gold (both swimming), 1 silver (swimming), and 2 bronze (both diving). Behind China, who has 4 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze. Its the first day, so should see how many more medals we'd get. Anyways, not sure what will be on tv tonite, but I've been watching 'Kono Minikuku mo Utsukushii Sekai' or 'This beautiful and ugly world'. Cute animation, mad monsters. Typical Gainax work (if you don't know Gainax, think of Evangelion then you'll know...). Its about a being from outer space who takes on a female highschool form, and she is to wipe out earth to create another evolution. Except that she falls for this guy that saw her crash into earth and 'saved' her. And sworn to protect her. Anyways, its only 12 episodes long, I got 4 more. Will report on whether or not its good.

doing nothing...

Well, not doing nothing... just being a lazy bum. Totally lazy. watched some olympic action, and then some Police Academy 3... there's a PA marathon, they show 2,3,4 in a row... For dinner, mum and dad cooked up this huge bowl of noodles. We had some for dinner, I had 6 bowls. Then during that movie, I had another 2 bowls... its easy to get hungry on noodles... What else did I do? oh yeah I played Zuma till my eyes rolled... and managed to get over Level 9, after about 2 weeks of playing it... its a hard level... now I'm stuck on Level 11-4... will try to triumph over it tomorrow... :P Also watched my bro play some Doom 3 action... damn its a scary game... Don't play it if u have a heart condition, or is a scaredy cat. Certainly don't play it at night with the volume turned up... You might just get enough nightmares to last a day or two... Its so realistic looking that it's scary...

whee tired

I'm tired... damned tired... thats why I've woke up this morning arvo at 2pm. And managed to see the re-run of the olympic ceremony... some of the athletes seem bored to be there (maybe they are just jetlagged... but some of them seem so serious... there are other people there who look so full of beans... jumping around... there was even one country who carried spears... hahha crazy people... Last nite I watched True Lies, even though I've seen it so many times... but still I love to watch it... weird huh... maybe cos I was so tired I couldn't be bothered to do anything else... just wanted to veg out. The reason was because was so tired at work. They had two shows in different places. One of the places was Adelaide, the other was "Suffers Parradies". Now, if you didn't know where that is, its 'Surfers Paradise' on the Queensland coast. Except that the poor person doing that show couldn't speel (:P) their way there. The trucks were meant to come at 3:30pm, but like the true weather forecast people, they were wrong. 1.5 hours later, the two trucks, bound for totally different directions, came. Loading them up was easy, just used to forklift, but packing it up actually took around 3 or so hours... that shows great organisation. Well, theres so much stuff here in the warehouse one does not know any semblence of the word 'order'. And then packing up the stuff made it so much fun, with very windy conditions... lucky that the boxes were heavy (or not? :P) Anyways, needless to say, we OT till 6pm since the trucks were late.

*Rubs his eyes* Huh what??

I walked out after work today... to find that the light is still the sun's... not the floodlights... strange... its closer to spring soon I guess. Work was pretty boring today... will definately get busy tomorrow... because been just getting some stuff prepared... A whole load of boxes came in, 50+ boxes each around 10kg... and we shift them from two pallets to one... and that'll go away to another show tomorrow... and another 4 pallets also with it... and 2 going elsewhere... and one thing I should tell you guys, never deal with Crown Relocations (www.crownrelo.com) because they sux. They'll probably rip you off just for the hell of it... and then say they lost it or its delayed... cos the marketing guys still haven't got their stuff back from NZ, a week after already -_-... it'll be two weeks soon... and he's dead if it (stuff from NZ) doesn't come back... but anyways, I got home and nobody was online... so its pretty boring :P I'll go and watch some Anime then :D

Uneventful day

Just that, it was pretty uneventful. Work was very busy, always have problems, since there's no followed protocol... For example, one engineer said 'I have more stuff' and he doesn't come out till after 4pm and says 'why didn't you come and get the stuff to send out?'... After I do my rounds inside the service area, I don't go back in... so he would have to be more specific. Sure, you have more stuff, but when can I go pick them up. Anyways, I think will have more problems like that soon... he's got too much stuff to service... We also threw away cases today... such a pity, but since they can't be used again, its no use to take up space, thus that's why they're being thrown out. Just before coming home, I went to add petrol. Geez its hit 99.9 cents where I live, its lower than some places I know, but still its high... the stranger at the next pump said to me before he left 'Man petrol is getting so expensive...' while shaking his head. I concur. Soon it'll be around $1.05 a litre and then it'll be time to see what alternatives are there... Maybe train it in... but that means I'll have to wake up early just to walk early... hmmm not a good idea... Tonite's CSI:Miami was rather sad... but its ok I guess... then I switched to Channel 7 and saw something that I saw at the cinemas and found not bad... Shaft, starring Samuel L Jackson and Christian Bale. The line I found funny was 'You know me. It's my duty to please that booty. ' Hahaha funny :P Anyways I'm tired... wonder how much more stuff is there to do tomorrow... -_-

OT, Vindication (again) and a good tv show...

Work was fine today... getting more busy today, things just kept on coming in, and more people are starting to buy from the warehouse... WHAT? We're not retailers! so whats the deal with people knocking at the door wanting parts... hmmm... though I met some cute girl... :P too bad, she wanted some part, and once part was obtained, left... :P Ok... Since it was so busy, we decided to set one hour for OT to put away some parts... Bloody parts, always coming and not many going (including today... can you believe sometimes there aren't any need for parts? I think its just there for show... since many parts gather dust... once in a blue moon they will be needed... by then it's outdated... hmmm). Oh yeah something funny happened while the cute girl was waiting in the downstairs kitchen... there were no lights... its like completely dark. We were going wtf, why is it so dark here?? We tried all the light switches, nothing. Nada. Zip. Then the emergency lights were on just for the toilets and kitchen. Anyways, the male toilets had no emergency lights, so I used the disabled toilets... and there was a light there, luckily. And when we looked at the light switch... guess what. Its completely black. Normally its pure white. The switch itself was burnt to a crisp. Guess somebody turned off the lights with wet hands... They'll have to get that fixed... lucky it was confined to the lower kitchen/toilets, not the service area... that'd be a bad place to lose power... nobody will be working for the time its off... Anyways, before we did the OT, another bloody incident where my name was involved with signing. YES I SIGN YOUR STUFF. IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, WE'LL CALL YOU DOWN AND MAKE YOU SIGN IT. Lucky we keep all the stubs, and after looking through it, found the stub with a signature on it, meaning it wasn't me that lost it. Thank you, come again. Geez, can't these guys find something else better to do rather than say 'oh Ken signed for it?' Yeah, if I'm gonna steal your precious stuff, wouldn't u think I'll sign as somebody else? I got nothing to hide. Bring it on!! :P Anyways, CSI tonite was ok, always the same theme, but sometimes its done well... I like the lecture from Warrick to Greg on being prepared, and showing all his stuff... funny :) A good way to end the otherwise tiring day. Oh yeah I also watched the 4th Ep of DearS. Hmmmm... that girl needs to loosen up!

My baby has arrived...

I finally got the Power Supply that I bought online... Here is the link that I had before. 2 weeks! It took them two weeks to get it to me. (yes, it says July 31st, 9 days, but I had ordered it after commiting it, it was a few days before that...) Thats pretty bad service, considering the other computer parts from other stores CAME IN TWO DAYS. TWO DAYS! Thats like great! TWO WEEKS! Thats like WTF, YOU WANT TO LOSE MY BUSINESS? FINE!!. Having bought from them, it was the same situation again... Buy, sit there and wait for weeks... Never get them unless u live there, and can pick up the next day you get your confirmation... Anyways, that was after I got home... and now after installing, it shines a blue light on my wall... funky monkey! :P (thats a type of CDR that's being sold by a company I know :P) Pity it doesn't strobe or change color... oh well thats a mod for later. Work was ok, tiring, cos the marketing guys need to make more stuff... so we're bending our backs and jumping through hoops to accomodate them... and meanwhile doing our normal tasks... Some stuff came from Taiwan, and when I unpacked it... wah my hands were black... so dusty!! I have no idea that its so dusty, UNDER THE DUST COVER. quite bad dust... getting under the protection... oh well... Anyways, now I can enjoy my music more, since my computer is actually QUIET. Like before, with the dodgy power supply, I can't really hear my music properly unless I turn it up... but now, can have it at a lower volume and its still clear... :D I sometimes turn off the music just to hear the silence :D and to admire the blue light, of course (hahaha its like a belated Birthday Pressie, from Me to Me!) (Yay! I've finally gone nuts... :P)

Bloated...

Arggg I'm full!!! My mum started making the dinner since 3pm... Well, actually she made the cake... and then my bro made the cream to cover the cake, and now about 2 hours after eating the cake (and other food) I'm still feeling full... I spend most of that time in my room watching 8 episodes of "Samural Champloo". Its a samurai anime (duh!) and its 'stylish'... interesting and funny sometimes, but its main point is that life is harsh. Or so it was, back in that era... (nearly 4 hours... wah)... Also my bro bought his gf late (around 7pm)... I was 餓扁了... so was my bro. But the food was great, ate lots of food, and had some chat... But since tonite there was Oceans Eleven, me and youngest bro went to watch it, while parents and his bro & gf was chatting... And the cake was nice, because it was nice and chilled with cream, almost like ice cream, but not ice cream cake, still it was nice... :) But now I'm too full to do anything... oh well... need to go sleep soon since will have work tomorrow... Oh yeah I forgot, my parents made me go fill up the gas bottle since it ran out :O... me, the birthday boy, still has to run errands... how sad... :P

Some facts about today...

» 1876: Thomas Edison receives a patent for his mimeograph.
» 1899: Albert T. Marshall patented a household refrigerator.
» 1937: Dustin Hoffman, actor was born.
» 1940: The Battle of Britain began.
» 1974: Richard Nixon announced his resignation as US President, the first to do so, because of his implication in the Watergate scandal.
» Father's Day in Taiwan
» My Birthday! :P

Hope you enjoyed this useless piece of trivia :P

That's some early shit...

I went to sleep at 1pm yesterday... late by my 'normal' standards, not late by my 'before when I used to work' standards. Simply put, its the weekend, and I just like to stay up and be a vampire. But anyways, this morning I got waken up at 7:20am or so. WTF?? I was awake, but wasn't sure why. I thought I heard our bell go off, it was rather funny. I got out of bed, and it was freezing. So I peeked in at my bro's room, and didn't see anything suspicious. Then I went to the front door, and opened it... and looked outside. There was this truck... but I wasn't sure if it was for us (I didn't wear my glasses then...) Then I walked back to my room... and then this time the bell rang again for sure. So I quickly put on my glasses and walked to the door and... this guy was delivering manure. On a Saturday morning, of all hours. I quickly woke up my parents and they paid the $$ and the delivery was done. Geez...

After that incident, I didn't feel like staying awake, since its so damned early. So I went back to snooze.

Normally on a Saturday I sleep till around 1pm, unfortunately I didn't have the luxury this time... Dad was going to a orchid or flower exhibition via train, and we were expecting guests via train, and then we were also picking up a table and a wardrobe from down the road... they are renting their house out, can't have anything left in the house, so they asked us to take the stuff. Naturally, since our mum is a hoarder, she agreed without hesitation. My bro went to take the stuff out of the house, and I was left home alone, with some bliss (this was at 11am). Or so I thought. Because my bro knew that I wouldn't be so likeable to get up again, he left the cordless fone beside my table. And he and mum went to get the table + wardrobe. I didn't even have a chance to close my eyes when the fone rings. Right on cue I guess. It was the guests, they were at 3 stations away. I quickly got out of the house, and ran down the street, and found them two coming back with some drawers. Mum went to the station, and I quickly ate some breakfast... Strange, they didn't come back quickly. Turns out while I was eating breakfast, my bro was at the house, taking the door off because the wardrobe was too big for the door. And then after getting the wardrobe out of the house, he put the door back on. And left the wardrobe there. But was carrying the table out by himself when the guests and mum saw him, and helped him. Thus that was the 'morning'. I didn't even have a chance to log on my computer when my mum told me to go buy some noodles and eggs (and milk). So I hopped in the car and went and got them. Came back, mum cooked the noodles (and no eggs... they are for tomorrow :P), and then they went to see a furniture shop. Meanwhile my dad came back, and said that the newspaper that put the ad was misleading, since it was nowhere near the station... almost 2km away. Anyways, they came back, chat for some more, and then they left around 5... In the evening we had dinner... And then I watched '2 x 2 = Shinobuden'. Now, I have no idea what the hell goes on, but its a very weird weird weird (x 10000) anime. Its a yellow blob that's a bit perverted (a bit is probably too little... just like Del Spooner's quote 'I think "I told you so"... just doesn't say it'... But its fun to watch, if you leave your brain behind for a few minutes... You can get it while its hot from Ayu or Deathsquad. Enjoy it, if you can... :)

I won? something...

Work was normal... Today was Friday (duh) and well, things were quieter than usual, even though everybody was in today... Some of the sales staff from interstate came in, finally met them for the first time (though they came back once a month I've heard...) Anyways, I came home to find this huge envelope... I was going... hmmm I didn't ask for anything. Then I opened it... and guess what I see... a 6-Poster pack of "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl"!! w00t! :P Seriously, I have no idea when I entered a competition or something to go in the draw for these things... but I guess now I'm the proud owner of a nice glossy set of bigger than A4-smaller than A3 sized posters... yay they are gonna adorn my pretty bare walls now :P

Vindicated, Return of the...

Yes I've been blamed again for something that I did do, but didn't do. Why does it happen to me? This time it was a load which came in about a month or so ago, which I signed for (yes I remembered it well...) and then sent out the next day to another warehouse. The temp staff makes you have to wonder why they can have the audacity to accuse that somebody signed for it and it disappeared into ether, when they were in communications with the person who had dealt with the matter beforehand!. Well! Tough luck there ladies... as soon as that load came in, we emailed and got a result in a few hours (i.e it was sorted) Those emails are still there. Thank you, come again. After resending the emails back to the person, I think that rang a bell in their mind... ("Oh... yeah... I remember now..." *slaps self in the head* <--- Thats what I hope for :P) If you try to mess with me again, I'll make sure you feel my wrath :P Politely, of course. (maybe they will be questioned themselves... bad karma for them huh :P)

Practical Jokes

Lessons to be learnt in life: Appearances aren't what they seem. I've been working with my supervisor for around 5 months now... today he showed one side which I've never seen, and I thought it was pretty funny. Basically this other guy who does quality checking comes to the warehouse everyday. Sometimes more than once a day. And he always parks his car outside the warehouse gate. Which hinders deliveries. So my supervisor asks if theres a yellow piece of paper... I go no, I don't see any... why? and he goes and finds this scrap piece of yellow paper... and scribbles something on it... and goes outside and puts it on the car's windscreen wipers... From a distance it looks like a traffic fine. The guy comes back and gets a shock... ROFL!!! hehe funny indeed. BTW the notice says 'Please pay $1000 in parking fines'... hehe a bit too much but I guess the point was made... don't park somewhere where it could possibly get into trouble (like the time this expensive car got hit by a delivery truck backing up to the warehouse... quoted at $1000 for a bumper bar... ouch!!). Anyways, practical jokes aside, nothing particularly interesting happened today, my friend didn't come today, he said he wouldn't come today... So I had a fairly normal day... not too boring and stressful... and it was less windy too... and at night before we left work, we add overtime because of replacing one fluro light in the upstairs office. How many downstairs staff does it take to replace an upstairs fluro tube? 3. One to bring the ladder + new tube, one to supervise and make jokes, and one service engineer to do the actual replacement. You can probably imagine the one doing all the work is the guy with the OH&S certificate... hehe... I'm just the guy with the ladder and tube... and the downstairs service manager was the one looking and joking... hehe it was 6pm... no need to be serious :D My supervisor didn't stay around cos he still had work to do... poor guy... After getting home watched some CSI: Miami... Learnt that silicone implants can withstand up to 240 psi before bursting... hmmm... NOT THAT I NEEDED TO KNOW THAT! :P But that guy was pretty funny to watch... he caused his wife to die because of the boat's horizontal mast hit her and made it leak silicone... thus it was complicated and she died... hmmm... oh well good TV to watch...

Kaze no Warehousu... (hmmm I know no japanese)

Its a weird day today. Not much activity at work, but plenty of activity outside of work. In fact, there was so much to do on the ground and carpark that its not funny. Suddenly today was very windy. So much so that the floor of the warehouse entrance was covered with leaves from outside every couple of hours. I.e I had to sweep the floor that many times because so many leaves made it through the gap of the fence. Anyways, found out more people are leaving the company. One which is from upstairs, and one from downstairs. We're gonna give the downstairs one a farewell dinner. Except its not decided yet where to go. Oh well more $$ to fork out :P And I'll most likely to get lost again (Oh don't I wish I got one of them GPS systems... but nah, I can get lost with one too if I'm not careful...). CSI tonite was pretty interesting, its the guy who looks like the guy from NCIS. Only in America would you have slot machines IN A SUPERMARKET. Thats like having porno in a school library. Who the hell has slot machines in a supermarket... -_- its like 'Lets use up all your money before you get a chance to buy food and amenities'. My two cents has been dropped down a slot machine somewhere... time for me to go zz. :P

Whats the deal???

I'm tired today. Normally one doesn't get tired on Monday because of getting charged by the weekend (energy that is). But today I just felt a little tired.. even my supervisor said I look a little haggarded... The day was a gloomy grey. Then the lounge suite came back from the show on the Gold Coast... And we had no space, they had to go downstairs. So we had to move them. Thus I can think of one of the reason why I'm tired. Those sofas weigh a ton. Full of mechanical bits. -_- (Think expensive recliners...) Other than that, work was the same. Except alot of stuff had to be packed to be sent tomorrow... And, usually its thankless tasks. Ah well. I came home, added some petrol (getting higher prices since the oil scare) ate something, and was overcome by tiredness so I crashed out for about an hour... then come back to life a little better, but still probably crash out around 11...

Whoever wins... We lose...

Alien Vs. Predator (2004). Haha... finally the movie comes out... I wonder if it'll be good?

Since no watch tv...

Since I didn't watch tv... I thought I might as well get my tax return done and over with. Took me around 1 hour (just to make sure) and I think will get around $500 back. Hopefully :P (it might be less since I might have to pay back my HECS... hmmm). Now the due date for the tax return is 31st Oct, but this isn't the earliest somebody has done something for. For example, my bro gave me a birthday gift (a Futurama poster... wow... so considerate... :P) on Friday nite/Sat really early morning. 9 Days before my birthday. And my work has asked for both the casual worker's (me and friend's) full names... for the Christmas Party (invite?). A week or so ago... in late July. When the party is, I don't know, but I think that is called "extremely prepared". Thus me sending in the tax return 3 months early isn't too abnormal I think...

Tonight's TV viewing...

It must be the night of horrors... I switch on the tv to see what they would have on Sunday night. Usually its some action or drama, with Ten showing Law&Order, and Nine showing 'The Alice'. Channel Seven was showing 'The Others'. Is that a horror movie? I thought it was. Scary or something. Thats why I didn't want to see it. And then SBS has 'The Ring 2'. I flicked it on and it was in a hospital, this woman was going nuts and the TV goes nuts and shows the famous well. Now, if that's not scary, I don't know what is. If you were in a mental institution, you wouldn't want your favourite TV showing calm and peaceful imagery becoming this dark and scary well... But since you're already mental, how much more mental can you get? hmmm... Nah I prefer not to watch something scary. :P

Bloody hijackers

I was complaining a few posts back about how my friend at work was battling browser hijackings. It seems that I had been hijacked too, but of a different nature. I had accidentally clicked on 'yes' to one of the pop ups that come up once in a while, and well, I thought I had cleaned it, but now when I go to a page that doesn't exist, this other page pops up. I'm like wtf!!?!?! Thus good old google helped me and I got rid of it. They love to hide in nooks and crannies that many people don't suspect. Thus you need to be careful what u click yes to :P.

DearS

Hmmm... if I'm not mistaken, its an ecchi anime done to make u feel like u're watching soft porn except its under the guise of not being hentai. Anime-Keep has the goods. Spork Anime has "Pugyuru", a bizzare short clips of a maid called Pugyuru who has bizzare adventures. (Find the first 3 somewhere else). Anyways, the OP song "Love Slave" by Under-17 sounds jpop enough (got some 'WOO!' in there... woo...)... the ED song sounds even better :)

Another boring weekend.

It was time to catch up on my zzzs. Did that yesterday and did that today. Spent some time converting from OGM to SVCD. Now trying to add subtitles to it. Also got Harold and Kumar. Will see that soonish. After doing the subtitle work of course. (Sounds cryptic enough, no?). If you like movies like 'Kill Bill', 'The Last Samurai', I think you'll like Zatoichi. Its a samurai flick, with CGI blood, and done last year. A bit of violence, but thats to be expected if samurai swords are involved.

Useless fact #34092865023486...

» A building in which silence is enforced, like a library or school room, is referred to as a "silentium."

What does that have to do with anything? Nothing. Just enjoy the useless trivia that I might post here once in a blue moon.
