A string of unrelated misfortunes...

Yesterday I got home fine at 10:30... then I found out during our absence (the 3 sons) that 1) The toilet broke, and 2) The washing machine broke. Then, this morning, when we were going out to buy some carpet and buckets for the washing machine, we found out the car tyre was also broke. Well, it had a long screw on the inside... and was losing air, looked very deformed... I wouldn't have picked it except for my mum's eagle eye... but she didn't know it was a long screw either, till the guy at the tyre place took the tyre off. I went to have a farewell dinner at the place I was talking about, in Carlingford Village. Never been there before, but it wasn't surprising to see a lot of asians there... afterall, affluent asians live there... It was a seafood restraunt, so had Peking Duck, fried duck, and oily duck. Of course, we had scallops served in original shell, abalone, shrimp, and barramundi, steamed. Only one dish I didn't eat, it was beef, the others were fine and tasty, and overall I was full. Though the bill came down to $609 for 15 people, but 14 because we're shouting the guy who's leaving... Originally we had 13 people, but the only female downstairs bought her bf along, and two other service guys originally didn't wanna come came, and the one service guy who said in the morning that he'll be there didn't come... thus life is very unexpected. It was good fun, talking about this and that, and one of the funny topics of the evening was that one guy had bought a magazine in an asian shop just before he went into the restraunt. Its called 'Hi-Tech', being a HK mag, it had this chick playing with some cool looking gear. And the only girl was going "Hey I just saw this at that newsagent..." hahaha no duh, everybody came through there, and it was one of the items at the front... even one of the waitress was commenting on the magazine, it got maximum exposure before the buyer even had time to read it thoroughly... How the magazine was selling well because it had a chick on the front... even though it was tech gear... (yeah, the hk branch of our company had 2 ads in that mag, and 4-5 items reviewed... not bad, cheaper than aus that's for sure). Anyways, will have to pay for the meal on Monday, my friend was the only one who left early cos he said he was feeling sleepy... but said he had a headache after getting online... and this time, I didn't get lost! Not even once... amazing... must be 3rd time lucky, since I turned the right streets and followed the right signs... but unlucky because I managed to get a punctured tyre... (or is it tyre? hmmm). That tyre cost $10 to plug... hmmm and $30 if the plug was done better. And a new tyre would cost $70. Anyways, I'm off to watch some anime. Keroro Gunsou (Captain Keroro) Ep 4, DearS Ep 6, and other anime... and relax!
