So, I made the first 'move' yesterday by sms. That person is hard to 'call out'... But they did suggest that me and C go over to their place and cook and eat something... So I guess that's something that might occur within this year. Good or bad?
On other news booked mum's ticket to US. Her passport expires mar 2011 so less than 6 months validity (from oct). (5 months) So I asked her to renew her passport, then we can arrange for the ESTA.
I still haven't arranged my own travel plans yet...
And one more sales has left the company, due to her having a baby. So... there's only 1 female sales left. They even threw her a surprise 'departure' party, complete with cake! (but just one tiny cake...)
Hmm water rates is in, $150. steep!
Another time, another space
Another place to rant and rave... for my old blog, kenman2k.blogspot.com

new camera
So I splurged out on the Canon Ixus 130IS... it arrived today, charged up the battery, plugged in a 16gb card I got a year ago, and then found out the card was a POS... piece of... bloody hell I paid good money for it, and it turns out to be a dud...
So plugged in a 4gb card and then was testing all these modes. I think I shall be taking a lot of shots with this camera for sure.
Tomorrow will be spending a lot of money. All for the privilage of calling a place 'my place'. Yay. (It'll sink in once I move in I think)
Need to rest enough, it's winter time so tend to get a little sleepy :P

Car service
So I got my car serviced, regoed and CTP'd today.
Minor Service = $119
Registration = $31.70
Globes + Labour = $22.40
Air Filter = $35
Fuel Filter = $69
Labour R/R(?) Filter = $46
Brake Fluid Flush and Change = $56.50
Ferodo TQ Std Front D/Pad Serv = $169
Machine Front Disc Rotors + Labour = $109
CV Shaft (Not done today, next saturday) = $220
Labour CV Shaft = $92
Car Service = $969.60.
Originally there were other things that they said that I was suggested to do...
Transmission Flush
Power Steering Pump and Rack
Rear Shock
Tyre Rotation w/ alignment
But that would've made it go to $1800... so I said no.
Add on $285 for the RTA
and $413.04 for the CTP
Makes it $1667.64 I spent all on my credit card...
Plus $5 to travel home (because I wasn't gonna wait at the shopping center for 6 hours) and $8.20 for lunch.
$1680.84.
Damn.
And it's not even something that I like to do, unlike some of my friends :P
It's almost like the time when I first bought the car, it had so many problems that I didn't know about, and I spent the same amount of money as well. Can't they make cars better? Considering the average value of my car on a car sale website is around $7.5k... that's 22% of the value right there. I guess when the service costs more than 50% of the value of the car then I need to get a new one... or a near new one. Ahhhhh

OT
-_-"""
Stocktake of the warehouse isn't fun.
The last time we'd done such a thing was probably 2 years ago. At that time it was ok because I hadn't done it this way before. But now the whole warehouse is full of stuff.
Apparently the people that did it the night before went to 11pm... We had no wish to emulate them, so we were working really hard to get it done. We finished at 9pm. And we had pizza for dinner as well. I was the one who had to order the pizza... -_- The night before the person who ordered the pizza didn't order the 'correct' types, so they were praising me this time... C'mon, it's just pizza, how hard is it to order? (First time I'd actually ordered pizza actually, normally we buy our pizza from the supermarket and cook it ourselves - the website was pretty easy to use)
So I slept in today, which is good :D
Still considering my DSLR purchasing...

Salvation, Terminator
So I went to see Terminator Salvation for free, because I had won a ticket. Boy was it good. lots of action, and yes, the future is bleak and well, dark and there's always hope. All I can say is 'go watch it' because I don't wanna spoil it for anybody. It does kinda leave a little room for a next Terminator movie, but because of the timeframe of Kyle Reese and T-800 (no, arnie wasn't in the movie - I sat through the credits...) they could have either a short timeframe (Kyle is kinda older in the first movie while he's a teenager in this one) or a long timeframe (T-800 becomes more obsolete and they first created technology to time-travel). Also there was the strange 'room' where Marcus was... why does it look like a command center for Minority Report? Robots don't need a command console like that... strange. Anyways the next movies coming up are "Transformers 2", "Public Enemy", "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince", "Year One" and that's what I remember (there were others I'm sure) but were as memorable as these ones.
Public Holidays / Long weekends do go by fast. Also I tried to wash my car but knowing how bad the weather gets I decided not to wax it. :P
